Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Patience is waiting. Not passively waiting - that is laziness. But to keep going when the going is hard and slow - that is patience.

I don't know if I posted this for your group yet. It is about Friday and Saturday Departures after PIR. (If I did...sorry for the repeat!-I think I'll just start posting some of my "standard" posts in the discussion area-easier to keep track of!)

So, look for it in the discussion area!

Thanks everyone, I am glad you like the ribbons. If you want to order some for you and your family you can send me a friend request on this site or send me an email to uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com and I will send you the info for placing an order. They are a great way to show your pride and support for your sailor, a really good way to help you recognize other N4M members and they make an awesome keepsake. There are pics on my page here on N4M or If you have face book you can check out more pics on my page there Unique Memory Makers. I hope you all had a wonderful Fathers Day with your families :-)

NavyWife:  Here is the answer for you.  Call "Sarge."  He is retired military and helps out Navy families each weekend with travel to/from airports and to/from PIR, etc.  I have never seen a bad word against him on this site...in fact, he gets RAVE REVIEWS!

Here's his number:

847-212-0246

dudiesmom:  Sounds like he will be bussing out to the airport at 2 a.m. on Sat after Fri PIR.  But you should be able to hang out with him at the airport until his flight leaves.  He should have flight info by PIR.  They bus them out early to wait for flights.

vgain:  Just message Lala about the ribbons.  She will make them for anyone in any PIR group!  They are quite nice!  You can leave a comment on her "page" also.  She has another email address also, outside of this site, that I believe is listed on her "page."

The best option for you two navywife is to rent a car that has a gps. Print out  directions too just to be in the safe side. Remember to have a hands free device for your cell phone and store the hotel's number. I bet they would be happy to lend you a hand if you get lost. I'm super excited to meet everyone there!!
