OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

My husband, son and I are coming in .. we are driving 10 hours but we are debating flying and getting a rental. I don't know if it would be more or less stress. We have never been to Chicago before!

J's mom... I missed my son's phone call! :( But he did leave a message about how well 226 is doing and that they are working on being an Honor Division. :) He got to call home and then was going to go buy a Mt Dew and relax for awhile. Sounded like things were going well. He said he had to leave at 2 am after PIR for Pensacola.

Lala those ribbons are so cute! I'm new to the site and group. Are they for PIR?

NavyWife: I am flying into O'Hare and driving a rental car to Navy Gateway Inn as well!! I am also coming alone, and have never ever done anything like that before, so I am sort of a basket case! lol.

I hope you make it to the meet and greet!

NavyWife: love your new profile pic! Are you bringing along your two kids?
Comment by joel's_rackie on June 19, 2011 at 6:14pm
No, we are staying at the Courtyard Marriot hotel, that's where my MIL got our hotel reservations. Are you driving by yourself? I hope it's not so far.. We are attending the meet and greet on the 7th. Are you attending?

NavyWife: just make sure you bring the gate pass (not available yet) and also bring your military ID. From what I've heard, you just need a copy of the lease form from the car rental. And you're good to go..

I have been working on the ribbons for this group and wanted you guys to see one of them. I hope you like them :-) I know you will wear them with pride to PIR and they will help you recognize other Navy for Mom members at the meet and greet as well as PIR. This one is done in silver and some others are done in gold. If you have sent me a message on N4M's and I have not responded within a few hours it probably means I didn't get the message. I have had a lot of problems with the email on this site. You can email me at: uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com  Thanks :-)
