OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

So if you have a Navy bank account you get paid earlier?
Comment by TickledTink on June 14, 2011 at 7:32pm
Yeah we've gotten paid, including BAH since we're married.  I got the first deposit the 27th, and the 2nd one yesterday.

J'sMom:  No, they are paid during bootcamp, but it takes about 3-4 weeks for the first deposit to come in.  Where that money goes depends on what bank info the SR gave when they arrived at bootcamp. Some open Navy Fed accounts.  It is direct deposited.

I thought you all would want to see this pic posted on facebook an hour ago. In commemoration of Naval Station Great Lakes' 100th anniversary, students, staff, and veterans participated in a "Living 100" on 14 June 2011. This event took place on Ross Field, in front of historic Bldg. 1.

Most of them get direct deposit. They get paid on the 1st and 15th of every month. That also depends on when they start. My wife started on May 10th but we didn't get her first check till June 1st. Can't wait till tomorrow lol
