This link, and the Families scroll down is where I got a lot of information.

B told me he just wants to hang out with the family, but by 8/21, he may change his mind. His one request was for Chipotle! He used to live on that, I'm sure he's having withdrawals.

Lynn, when my daughter did her clinical in mental health, she said all of the clients just migrated to her! All of the students would be in the lounge with them and she was the only one they wanted to talk to. Then during a group discussion, the instructor was treating her like a client. Then he hit on her! Needless to say, she didn't pick that specialty. TMI?

Dedicated to Ellen and Fletcher,
The following account is true. Names have been omitted to protect my stepson.
Recipe for disaster:
Time: 1 hour before 15 teenagers arrive for birthday party. Place: My kitchen. Add one 19 year old boy, 2 full glass pitchers of iced tea, 3 liter bottles of soda, misc. bags of chips and salsa to one end of a drop leaf table. Check contents for balance. THEN….add one small glass bowl of fruit to the same end of table. Result: table tips on its end dumping all contents to the floor. Both glass pitchers dump contents, flooding kitchen, glass shatters, piercing soda bottles, spewing Pepsi through kitchen, into family room and beyond. Glass imbeds in Armoire, floor, fruit from table, chip bags, back door, & feet. Last step: leave for hair appointment as teenagers arrive ½ hour early.

Happy Sunday everyone,

Riri, so glad you got your call! Hopefully Div 841 gets well soon. It sounds like they all get sick some time during BC. My son (same ship & div) had something similar. He was still coughing when I got his call last week.

Lynn, I had to go back a bit to see what happened. Glad you dad didn't break anything. I lived with my 90+ grandfather when my kids were little and falling was always a worry. It really does feel like PIR is getting close, I'm getting really excited to see and hug my B. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Got to go and do some shopping for groceries. We're the "out house." Catch up with y'all later.

Hi PIR 8/21 Moms,
Yes, only four more weeks! I can't wait, I am going to book my flight this afternoon.
Riri523, I am glad your son likes getting letters.
Lynn aka R's Mom, I said a prayer for you an your father. I hope he is OK. And I hope that Peanut calls again. Also congrats on going back to school. What are you studying? I went back to college after my divorce and got an A.A.S. degree in Accounting at the age of 47. Now, I am looking for a job.

Rin, my son was sick enough for antibiotics and a few other prescriptions. Yesterday was his first back to active. He was in medical and then SIQ as well. He said some in Div 841 had bronchitis. He didn't say anything about getting behind in training though.

Songe Bob was my grandson's first understandable words. Ya gotta love the square guy.

Good morning Everyone,
I have to confess that I too am "addicted" to N4Ms. But it is a good thing, no one understand better than another Navy Mom. I gave Chrissy's address to sereval family and friends, and our church. She likes getting mail, she keeps asking me to write, I write her three times a week!
To those of you with sons; I think it is just a male thing, men don't comunicate as well as women do. But I hope you all get letters today.

I GOT THE CALL!!! God has such timing, he/she should take it on the road! I had the intuition that B was sick and that was why I didn't get a call, (intuition helped along with some info from here). I sent out a distress call to all of you and you answered me. Blessings to you Kim, Lynn, Fletcher, and all my friends on N4M's. I was at work, just doing my thing and my cell phone rang at 1:05 pm. I picked up automatically, not thinking of anything unusual, and a dear voice said, "It's your son." Ahh, such sweet words. Bear with me because there's a bit to tell. He was sick, still coughing. One day out of duty (forget what you call it, 2 days SIQ. Today was his first day back to regular duty. He went to the PX (not the right term) to get some things for the RDC. Another RDC was there and asked B if he got his call and B said no, he had been sick. So, the RDC said "go ahead and do it now, how much time do you want? B said they were supposed to get 45 minutes. READ 45 minutes! So I GOT THE CALL! My co-workers probably thought I had won the lottery. I didn't take his whole time, but it was a bit of a bummer because I found out later that his calls to his dad and sister didn't get answered, but he left messages. (They don't know about duct tape, LOL) Funny thing is that he is in Div. 841, not 840 like I had been thinking. I've been sending his mail to the correct address, but I printed address labels and just didn't notice, thinking he was in the other division. Anyway, he said 841 got a perfect score on a test and that's why they got 45 minutes, which he almost missed! (Thank you Lord.) His news: He said he was surprised at how much time they spend indoors. Even PT is inside. Almost the whole Div. has been sick to some degree or another. He thinks the food is OK but boring (like a TV dinner Salsbury Steak). He wants me to send more news about the family and he's anxious for PIR. Of course I thought of a million questions after we hung up, but I got a call!!

P.S. Now I have to be concerned because he said he is doubting his choice of working toward SEALS! Lord, do you think I'm super woman or what?

I hope everyone has a peaceful night, and I am most grateful for your friendship.

Hi Moms,
I am new to this group. My name is Vicky. I live in California. My Navy girl is Chrissy. She left for Boot Camp on May 27, about half-way thru she hurt her ankle. I got a phone call from her this morning, her ankle is healed and she is moving onto the USS Triton, Ship 12, Div. 292. Her new PIR date being 8/21. I am a happy Mom, today.
