Mom Meltdown: I really need some support today. You know how certain people in your life are the ones you go to for certain issues/problems? Major things are going on in an area I would normally share with B becuase he understands and has been part of the support/solution in the past. It concerns his sister, whom he has always been very close to. AND, the BIG thing is that I need to be supporting HIM now and building him up! My energy needs to be for HIM, but I don't know how to split myself and support them both. This sounds like I have a "god-complex." I know it's not about me.

It's really sinking in that B is not here in the way he always has been, and it will be this way for years to come. I don't even know that he's OK because he didn't call when many in his Div called. I don't know how to do this. I've been mother of 2 for 25 years, but I'm floundering....

Good Morning all, SIQ means sick in quarters. They stay in bed. I think that's probably why I missed my call. Ellen, I know what you mean. B knows his own mind and makes his own decisions. He has always known that he has my total support in what he wants to do. Would I have chosen this path for him? No way, but Yes way because it's what HIS heart has told him to do.

Hi eveeryone, I'm doing better this morning. Hang in there moms who didn't get calls or letters, we'll make it! Our recruits are doing great and that's what we have to know and believe. Thanks Kim, Lynn, GodTheBoyAsh, and everyone who respondd to my wailing yesterday. Prayers are Gold!

I'm really happy for all of you who got phone calls, I really am. I didn't get one and I just can't seem to keep my chin up because I know it's gong to be the next round of opportunity before he calls and that could be weeks. I NEED to hear from him or I won't be able to go to PIR, and I PROMISED him I would be at all of his Navy events. I'm very sad..

Kim, that's the best picture I've seen, I love it! Ditto Lynn, I'm happy for everyone who got calls but I'm green with envy too!

Adding to the gf discussion, B started seeing someone just before leaving for BC and although I've liked his girlfriends in the past, I'm just not up to dealing with one now. I will be very upset if he spends his phone calls on someone he's only known for a few months.

Good Morning everyone,
I spent yesterday at my parent's house and got to see various extended family too. It was good to have that time to catch up. Kept waiting for that phone to ring, but it was silent, very silent....I am very happy that so many of you got calls, can't wait to hear snippits of what's going on in GL. Going back today to help my daughter catch up on housework/laundry because she's starting her new job as an R.N. next Week. I'm very proud of her being a single mom at 25 with 2 kids, she's done amazing. My son is very proud of her too. Of course he is awesome himself, (I'm not a proud mom or anything, LOL) but I know you all understand a little crowing. Kim and Lynn, I love the colorful add ins, thanks for that. Everyone have a great day,
Tee

I got a form letter with a few personal words on it and an address to write to. Also a brochure with hotels in Great Lakes, instructions to download the parking pass, etc. I believe that is all you get as far as info on graduation. When I got a real letter it had a different (more detailed) address. With the number of sailors there I'm sure they eventurally get all of the letters. I heard that Sunday is the day they get time to write but I don't know if that's true.
