Good morning, I am a Happy Mom today! I got to IM Chrissy last night and it was morning her time, so I got to say Happy Birthday on her birthday morning. She si 27 years old now. I was crying tears of joy. Good thing it wasn't skype. She hates to see me cry. But I am happy. I was on FB hoping she would come on and she did! She liked the video I sent her and the pic. Then I lost her, but that happens.

Thank God for FB. Maybe I can survive the rest of this deployment now.

Well, here I sit at the computer and I noticed the clock on this group's site....525 days since PIR!  My son came home today as a Veteran. A 19 year old Veteran. I always picture Vets as older men :-) He is officially a civilian now.  He got an Honorable Discharge from the Navy and is going to try college. I am happy that he is happy. However, I have loved being a Navy mom and feeling the mom to mom bond and connection with all of you wonderful women! Do you think I can stay in the group and update you all once in awhile?

Hi, Yes it has been 1 year since my middle daughter joined the Navy. My Chrissy is still in GL. Almost finished with A school, hoping to get orders for C school in San Diego. Her rate is FC. She seems to be thriving in The Navy, talking about going the whole 20 year career path. But it hasn't been an easy road for her. She is a single Mom and misses her son very much. The plan is for him to him to go live with her once she gets to San Diego. She has only seen her son once since PIR (that was Christmas leave). She missed his 3rd birthday in March. Sorry I don't post on here, I'm more active in other groups mainly "Navy Moms Rock". But thanks for your email asking how my sailor was doing.

I think that's a great idea Kim. I'd like to hear how/where they all are now.

Hi Ellen, I think everyone scattered from here...I always like our little group on here. I see some on Facebook, but that's about it. Some still post on our other PIR group.

How's E doing? Did you have your surgery yet?
