Someone sent me a friend request with a question about sending college transcripts and an address discrepancy.  As I was reading your request, my electricity went off and I lost your info.  Can you please friend request me again?  Not sure what group you were in.

Hi All - just got word today my nephew is Ship 7 div 271, cant wait to send out my letters tomorrow.  Im already a proud navy mom who's sailor PIR 12/17/10 (currently in phase 2 of 3 phases of school, based in S. Carolina)  cant tell you how lucky you are to be going to Chicago in August, We went in November for Thanksgiving day and then back in Dec for graduation.  Ive lived in NY all my life and I never felt cold air as I did in Chicago.   Meet and Greet was great at the Ramada, we had lots of fun, Its amazing the friendships that are created.   Enjoy this journey, write write and then write some more letters, my son told me when he left in October, not to write alot, but we all did and he kept saying send more letters from home, I would print out his FB page, sports articles, current events, jokes some PC, some so not PC :) and the  questionaire was great, I invited his friends over typed up 3 pages of questions, order pizza and had a great night, then when then the questionaire was returned I invited them all over again to read it...  It was great for me, as I missed having his friends over

We stayed at the Springhill Suites, they offers a great prices, free internet and great breakfast in the morning, when we checked in I signed us up for the shuttle to take us to base in the morning ($5.00/per).  Also i called a cab to take us to the meet and greet, on thursday night, asked for the drivers cell phone number and when we were ready to leave, called him and he came back to pick us up within 10 minutes.

Ladies:  There are two 8/26 groups currently.  One will be deleted, but not sure which one yet.  I recommend that you all join both right now.  Here is the link to the other pir group:

http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir82611

Click on join.  That way, as a member of both, you will still be connected when one of the groups is deleted.

Deidra:  There apparently are two 8/26 groups started.  Please get in touch with Sharon (Catie and David's Mom) and decide who needs to delete.  I believe she friend requested you.  We need to get down to one group so there is no confusion!  Thanks!

Deidra, How long has your first Sailor been in the Navy?  How exciting to be going through this again. Only this time it won't be so traumatic because you know what to expect. LoL
