I have found 3 examples of ribbons that have been done by other groups. They are in a photo alblum on my page. I have the security set so my friends can see the pictures. I will friend all of you that I haven't added yet. I don't have time to figure out how to get them on this page. May work on that later if I get time.
I like the ribbon with the anchor on it. Wonder where we would get the pins for the anchor? Window shopping must be in order. I check Hobby Lobby, Michaels and possibly the Christian store near me. I am also going to South Carolina soon and there is a Army post in Augusta GA that houses all the branches of Military. I am also going to try and go to a Navy base while there and they might have some. Just a thought though.
Im with CathyJ on the ribbon with the anchor button..I like that one..I be glad to help in any way too but not sure how early I be there to give it too you but if you need me too I be glad to send whoever some money to help out..Im so excited about meeting you all!
I also like the ribbon with the anchor...they're all great though. We are driving to PIR and not sure exactly when we'll get there, but I'm willing to help if possible. Let me know if you need anything from me.
I too like the ribbon with the anchor. Are we all making ourown??
I like it too
Let me see what I have in my stash of ribbon. Do we want to do something different, say a different color ribbon, for the different divisions or just put the number on the ribbon? I can play and see what I can come up with. Maybe a short piece of different color ribbon behind the anchor pin? Do we want to make them for all family members or just the moms?
m'smom,
Thank you for stepping up for our group with the Meet N Greet Ribbons and details. If you need me to help I am willing. Although, I will be flying in from Florida and not sure yet what time I will arrive. Thanks again!
just let me know what i need to do, I will be getting to GL at about 5pm, we arrive in Chicago at 3:30 so we will have just enough time to check in then come over to the ramada. I am getting so excited when we talk about actually being there.
Is anyone making these ribbons? And how can I help? We are driving and won't get to hotel until late afternoon. But if you can send or tell me where to get supplies to help, I'm here. I have looked for the blue anchor ribbon supplies online and at Ben Franklin in Quincy, IL and have found nothing to match. Are these for all attending or for just Moms? Just let me know what I can do.
Still looking for supplies. Thanks for the offer of help. When I get it all togther we can talk about the best way to attack this. I have also asked about who we are making pins for. We are driving in from Pittsburgh, so I may send what ever I have to one of you that lives closer, in case we get tied up.
Thanks for the offer of help. nukemom has also offered. I have found anchor pins online. I am willing to order but don't know how many. I have asked her what she thinks of using gold glitter fabric paint instead of the letters. Haven't found any that are inexpensive. Ther are only about 20 mom's on this Group. If we only do mom's this is a small job! I we do everyone, there are about 50 RSVP'ed to the M&G. Maybe you and nukemom could get ribbon and do the paint and mail them to me and I could put them together? I know my 25 yr old daughter says she will go and talk to people, but doesn't want a ribbon. Don't know about the dad's either. I am going to post on the main group page and see if I get any response.
