Going to be between 112 and 115 all week. UGH!
hi all :) just checking in. not much is new, you know i hate summer and still am yearning to get to the beach:( its been 4 years since i have seen the ocean., Charlie is off to Hawaii etc for 3 months. Sure miss him Havent seen him since the new year,
Have fun Trish,,,I am jealous. Its so yuck here!
Checking in, see how everyone is doing. Janna, my head would be spinning on the GF issue. You are kinder than me, anyone who hurts my boy, I would have a very hard time getting over. Caseys 21st birthday, well, his friends DID take him out and he had the rugby game the next day. He still went, but sounds like he was in pain. Hmmmm....part of me says, good, teach you, but the part of me that was 21 (who am I kidding, I was pregnant with him at 21 :-) says, have fun,. live it up.
Very hot here this week, going to get to 112 and PReston has another baseball tournament, looks like they will play 5 games, and of course, all in the middle of the day, when its scorching. At least we head to San Diego for the one in JUly, weather should be alot nicer. Caseys ship is supposed to be in port for a bit (sounds like 24 hours) but heck, I will take any chance to see him, so we are making this our vacation this year and will be in San Deigo for 8 days. Asked hubby what he wanted to do, and he said, nothing, sit my butt on the beach and do nothing. LOL.....I get that. Life has been very hectic lately.
My sister is being seen at the Mayo, turns out she has a rare auto immune disease and just had to have a double bone marrow bioposy. This has been a long road to find out what the issue was and although we are glad to have a diagnosis, now the real work begins and she needs to decide on a treatment. So far, shes doing ok, but her immune system wipes itself out every 21 days or so and she gets sick for about a week.
Hope everyone is doing well, miss you ladies!
Oops, meant to say NOT to celebrate. Geez, need to get me some reading glasses!
Ugh. I feel for you Janna, nothing you can do is going to make them do what you want or need them to do. Stay strong and hope this works out how it should.
Casey turns 21 on Friday. My baby is a baby no longer. For some reason, him turning 21 is hitting me hard, guess its because its that last hurdle into adulthood. He tells me he is not going out that night, that he has a rugby tournament the next day and wants to be fresh. I can only hope that this is a sign of his maturity level. Im not saying celebrate, but me (I don't drink, personal choice), I just never understood the need to get blitzed.
WHen he comes home on leave before his next year long deployment in August, his and his brother want to get a tattoo together, something that is just for them. So nice to see that they are finally getting along and well too!
Hot here, although today isn't so bad, only 102, but this weekend it was 114 and Preston had baseball tournaments all weekend. THAT was hot.
yay! janna is a celebrity:) It's good to see the proud navy moms welcoming them back:) Charlie called today. He is in San Francisco,Havent seen him in 5 months....hopefully in the fall he will be home.....
AWESOME Janna and how cool that Syvlia got the picture! Hooyah!
Janna- Again, I'm so sorry about what happened to your step dad. My hubby is from a southern Illinois farm town too. (Back in the 70s) His uncle died in a tragic tractor roll-over too....leaving behind 10 kids!
Mike wore his dress blues for his grandmother's funeral. He looked so sharp! So many people were impressed and complimented Mike for wearing his dress blues. But in all honesty, he would've had to have gone out and bought a suit for the funeral.....so thank god for the dress blues!
It's been so long since I've posted pics on here....waiting for hubby to come home and help me with that. I will post those pics of you guys from San Diego's 10News.
