just checking in. not much is new. Charlie is still in Bremerton. I know he wants to go somewhere. they will deploy later this year,. I hope that is a good experience. he seems pretty bored sometimes.
My daughter got her learners permit last week") she is doing very well driving. Seems like we skipped winter this year...sigh...still yearning for the beach its been almost 4 years now since i saw the ocean......maybe soon
Well, my sailor told me that his class lost 2 guys because they failed the pee test for pot. Very sad. Hard to understand why they would risk it all - they've been in training for 18 months, about 4 to go. Dishonorable discharge, considered a felony conviction, going to Leavenworth for 45 days, and more.
Casey called today from Singapore, he sounds like he is having an amzing time. I asked him if he would join the Navy all over again, and he said he would! AMazing what a few months can do and to think, this is while he in on deployment.
DUring our call, he slips in there, MOM, don't freak out but I have to tell you something...WTH? Since I am seeing him for the Tiger cruise, he won't have time to have the plastic surgery on his face, but will get it shortly.........WHAT????? Turns out, he had a tumor on is cheek (?) , it turned out NOT to be maligant, but had to have it removed, this was a MONTH AGO! The scar is about 2 inces and he said that I will notice it, so he told me. I asked him why he didn't a month ago, said he knows how much I worry and didn't want to add to my stress level. He also thanked me, told me how much it means to him that I keep tabs on one of his friends who was diagnoised with Lukemia right before he left and hes been very worried about him. He also told me, that he has booked 2 full days of tours for us in Seattle when we get there AND one of the things is a Helicoptor tour.. OMG! I am so afraid of heights, but guess I will have to suck it up.
Hows everyone here?
Yea Janna!I go to zumba 3 times a week..love it, Just cant seem to lose any weight. quit carbs as well.....someday i hope to lose. I also swim laps and do spin class.
yes it has been very warm and yes i am sure our summer will be even hotter than usual.:(
Navy Funeral here today!!! Everything good, Snow on the way, maybe 3". Wish you were here Joanne!!! LOL
On a different note, I have been trying really hard to exercise everyday. I bought the Biggest Loser game for me for my birthday. I think I skipped one day in the past 2 weeks. I am trying not to tell anyone here because that may jinx me!! But I am pretty sure my belt has never been in the hole it is in today or at least not for a long time!! No weight loss yet but...I am trying to lose baby inches and the babies are 26 and 23!!!
Thanks for keeping my secret!! I am waiting to see if hubby notices anything...
so sad:( hate to hear the stories
I was heartbroken when I read that this morning. I follow the NRTC on facebook and some idiot posted the name of the recruit, even though RTC said, do not discuss details, etc until we make a formal statement. SHocks me that some of the family and friends treat these support groups, whether its on N4M, facebook, etc like the national enquirer. Are you serious? The military allows these groups to be helpful and then you have idiots, true idiots, who post what they are not supposed to.
Yo! Where is everyone?
I am getting very excited to go on the TIger Cruise with Caseys ship. But, Im also very nervous. Silly things I'm sure, but still I frett about them. Like, Im in my forties and the bladder ain't so kind to me anymore (thank you to my 2 big boys!), so thats an issue. The stairs, please don't let me fall on my ass. Getting ready, I know, I know, but gotta be able to put my face on, otherwise, I've been known to scare children. Stepson, when he first saw me without makeup, said, your'e right, you DO look funny without it. Gotta love that whole honesty thing we teach our kids. What if I get seasick? I get car sick going to dinner!
Gosh, I really, really miss Casey and just feeling so guilty about our last year together. We had some epic fights. I just wish I had been more patien and not so quick with words. Ah, motherhood.
happy new year ladies:) I am very happy to say that Charlie made it home on the 29th:) Sadly he got sick and has been in bed for a few days and has to leave Wednesday then 4th. Regardless I am soooo happy to see him after 6 months. I am also happy to say he has been polite, helpful and just happy to be home:)
I wouldn't worry yourselves about the girls...it's ok, they are young.
