Liberty is different than Leave.  Leave is similiar to requesting time off for vacation at work, they must submit a chit and have it approved.  Liberty basically means that they have "liberty" to…Continue

Casey called today!  He is sounding very good, tired, as he had the flu pretty bad over Thanksgiving, but good.  He signed me up for the Tiger Cruise, getting excited.  I look at how long hes been deployed and how long he has left, and I hope his next deployment isn't this long.  I got his Christmas package off, fingers crossed it gets to him in time.  He actually apologized for not calling more, said he was very busy on the ship.  He is sounding more mature everytime I talk to him.  Thats a good thing, but I do hope my Casey is still the same loveable, silly person he was before too.

Happy Brithday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy bithday dear sweet Joy................Happy birthday to you.  By the way, I did sing that as I typed, and the front desk came running back, thought a cat was being harmed back here.  :-)

Supposed to rain all weekend, which would be ok, but I wanted to do the arts festival this weekend, and Im not one for getting wet.  Must be why I moved to AZ.

Ok I have decided I really like having a DIL.  She took a picture of my son in his Camos and sent it to me as a Birthday present!  Sitting here crying at desk again!  If I knew how to get the pic out of my phone I would share..maybe will have her email it to me.

They are suppose to close on their house today, hope it all comes together for them.

Good Luck Lauren!  At least on our projects we can't blame the prior owners since we built the house!!  lol  We blame all the stupid stuff on not knowing what we were doing!!

Boxermom-Matt and DIL are in Virginia Beach if you need any advice on where to look and where not to look for apartments.  They are buying a house -close tomorrow- but have been renting for the past 6 months.  We found a website that shows crime incidents and flooding with the storms.  Can get you the links if you want them.

JoAnn-I have some really great Navy fabrics-  Will try to post pics for you and Trisha-Anyone else want a pillowcase?

Lauren- You made me laugh with your upchucking seabag! But that is exactly what it looks like!!

Must be the time of year-hubby and I have been talking about new flooring-as soon as he fixes the floor in the kids bathroom that has rotted out under the edge of the tub and toilet!  Took out toilet and part of the floor a month ago!  Maybe next week?

This weekend is the Christmas Concert for the group we sing with.  I am hoping to be in the Holiday spirit more by the end of it.  Then decorate next week.

Hi All!!! Happy Thanksgiveing(a little late) and Merry Christmas( a little early) Just trying to get it over with before I forget!!LOL. This next 2 months will be crazy as we leave for Norfolk,VA very soon for a week!! My sailors ship will be comeing in and we are going for the homecoming(should be a awsome sight to see) plus we have to find them a apartment and a car as they are getting married exactly 1 month to the day after his ship comes in, so we will be in VA for a week. I hope the weather will be a little warmer in VA than it is in MICHIGAN but Im not gonna hold my breath!!LOL.I hope everyone has Happy Holidays and a Prosperouse New Year!!!

I would love to send Charlie a pillowcase. Anything Navy would be a cool design. I have ben busy crocheting Liz's daughter a blanket for Christmas.I am eternally grateful for all of you, your support and friendship.Have a Blessed Thanksgiving:)

Hi Trish...it is nice but still warm...I want to feel cool:)

Comment by m'smom on November 23, 2011 at 10:01am

That is great news Lauren!  Always good when they can be home for Christmas!

Trisha-I have spiders, lizards and beetles-that is about as close to Arizona as I can get.  Haven't found any skylines (someone else asked for) or country scenes except for one with fall trees and cows!

I do have the map of the western half of the US that I have put a red, white and blue back on.  I will check if it shows AZ.  May I can post a pic before we leave today.

Heading south to Maryland to be with daughter.  Son is heading north to be with in-laws!!

I think Casey would love anything, but if you had somehting to remind him of home, we are AZ people with lots of sun, that would be cool.  I really wish I knew how to sew, but lets just say that the craft gene wasn't passed down, must have skipped a generation.  I try, but it ends up looking like something I did in my sleep.

Weather here is gorgeous.  HELLO JoAnn!!!!!   We are getting ready to plant this weekend, and our winter rye came in great this year.  Grass always looks better in the winter here.  Getting ready to put the decorations up this weekend and will miss my Casey running in, throwing crap on the tree, saying I helped and running out.  Wait..........I must be insane to miss that.

I am going to do the tiger cruise with his ship, and was hoping that hubby could join me but doubt it with his work schedule.

Comment by m'smom on November 22, 2011 at 12:54pm

Janna-I have some winter fabric-if you would like to send him another pc-Let me know..

I am thankful for the rain so I don't have to go out in the cold and water the plants we put in this weekend!
