LMAO - wow Lauren, dont hold back. :-)
Im telling you, some of the kids I see nowadays applying for jobs, and mind you, when i say kid (Im getting older, anything under 30 is kid) Im talking 18-25, I want to call their parents, make sure that they were in fact raised by humans because most of what I see is, I want a job....translation, parents said get a job or Im kicking your ass out. I can work any time..........translation, except Friday and Saturday nights, Sat or Sun mornings, Thrusday days, Monday in the evening, Wednesday I have school (yeah, uh huh). I need 40 hours........translation, schedule me for 40 hours, and Ill call off for 8, request off another 16, want to leave early the other 2 days and then bitch and moan that I can't pay my bills. Oh and bills.....translation, my suped up car, my brand new cell phone and my credit cards Ive run up.
Now, before anyone jumps on me and says that not all kids are like this, youre right, but alot of them are.
Some day Ill tell stories about crazy guests, like the dude that locked himself out of his room, naked, not once, but twice. and it was all caught on camera.. PERV!@
Heard from Casey this weekend, he sounds good. I was missing him alot this past week, and feeling a little blue on Saturday. Hubby and I out running errands, pull up to the house and theres a box. First thought, crap, its his care package! Nope, he sent home some goodies from his last port! He sent home some nesting dolls for his cousins, a robe and turben for his brother, a lock box and rhino for his dad and I! YAY! He could have sent home a piece of paper and I still would have been thrilled, but it did make us all feel special that he thought of us. My little boy, all 6"3 of him is growing up.
My Monday is crazy, nothing but a bunch of nut jobs this morning. I swear, I could write a book on stupid things people do in hotels. Have a great week everyone .
.................................where is everyone? :-(
Janna, i saw that post this morning on facebook and what I loved the most, was the picture. Shes not thin, but I wouldnt call her fat either and she looks absolutely content. There is a mom with football who is very, very large and I feel bad for her. Wait, hear me out. I talk to her all the time, and its NOT because shes fat (I can say that, I am) but you tell see how its affected her self esteem. When you talk to her, shes really kind, very into her kids, smart, funny, etc. Basically, on the inside, just like any of the friends we would want. I heard a kid say something about her at the last football game, and I did turn around, said your mother must be very proud of you and walked away.
Preston took some heat from a coach last week because him and 2 others pray before each game. Now, this isn't something that he forces on others, they just go to the side and take a minute or two. Went to a choir concert last night at the school, they did great but was suprised when one the songs would have been considered gospel was sung and the lady behind me huffed through the entire thing and then said to her friend, religion doesn't belong in school. I turned to her and said, dont' think they sung it for that reason, think they did because its a beautiful song and showcased their talent. At the past few football games, when the anthem is sung, i am AMAZED at the lack of respect for our country. I just want to say, three minutes people, can't you give your country respect, take your damn hat off, hand on your heart and SHUT UP for three minutes??????
Getting cranky in my old age.
Finally made it back from Dad's. We ended up moving him into the new place on Tuesday. He is as happy as a clam. Loves his new room, the people, the food, and all those activities! He said he is tired from doing so much!! His whole day where he had been living was eating and watching the birds out the windows. I know we say that all we want is for your kids to be happy, well the feeling is there when it is your parent too. This was the best thing we could have done for him!! Theme for the week was God is Good all the time!!
Glad to hear you cooled off some JoAnn. As soon as I find me desk I will look for fall pics for you! Leaves had not really started to turn even in New Hampshire(where I flew in and out of). Maybe next weekend when we drive up to get furniture I can get really pics of leaves!!
Great to hear all kids are happy!
Hello ladies.......life has been super hectic, renovating the hotel, Preston is busy with school and football and hubby is home for good! Casey is adjusting to life on the ship, wouldnt say hes thrilled but has adjusted. Last port was Bahrain, but wasn't able to get out much, there was some rioting, so had to stay close to base. The weather is finally cooling down, was 65 when I left for work this morning, almost needed to turn on the heat.
