Lawren passed his security + test today. It is a test that has a 30% pass rate that he needed for his rate, They had even told him he couldn't go on leave until he passed it so now he will be able to coe home over the holidays!
I am so relieved....apparetly they have 2 choices for Christmas leave, one before christmas and ending on the 27th or one that starts on Dec 27th to Jan 8th. He is going to take the second, I have tickets to go see Ellen on Jan 4th so he will be here for that, but it will be our first Christmas without him home :(
Lauren-I know what you mean-It was harder to say goodbye when the kids left this time. Since my daughter has been leaving for over 8 years(4 college & 4 after) now you would think it would be second nature-but sometimes it is just so hard to let them go! Cried in church Sunday before they left when we sang Blest be the Ties that Bind. Last verse is about if and when we will see each other again! Luckily son & DIL didn't see. I guess it is a mom thing.
Speaking of Mom's -mine isn't doing very well. She is retaining about 20 lbs of fluid. They have tried several different meds..nothing. Sister is taking her back to doctor this afternoon. Also Dad went to hospital for chest pains this morning. He has alzheimers and it is always a challenge because he will be sitting there laughing with us and then nurse walks in and reminds him of pain by asking how it is. He doesn't even remember he has pain until they remind him!!
Flying up there (MA) Friday to see about moving him to a secure Memory unit. Shh he doesn't know..wouldn't remember if you told him. LOL funny but sad.
Thanks for listening to my rambles.
Trina,
I will ask some of the teachers I work with about thier recomendations, I believe Cal State San Marcos has a very good Teaching credential program, I would start looking there.
I don't know about schools onbase, but I will keep my ear to the ground on that one
Trina when are planing on moving? What are you looking on studying?
I should be able to help you find something that is right for you
