Sorry, been hiding out lately.  Turns out that my stepson, who did end up staying at our house after the GF broke up with him is addicted to Spice and alcohol. Got him into an outpatiend rehab, but turns out, he was drinking under our noses for the week that he was with us.  I leave to Florida for conference, husband calls, said he has the crisis team at our house, stepson is threatening to kill himself.  Of he  goes to inpatient.  He's was there for 5 days, totally pissed off the whole time, they released him yesterday.  Back to our house, as his mom in stuck back east, getting home today.  The place tried very hard to convince him to go to in paitient rehab, he refused, said he can do this on his own with meetings.

WTH!!!!!!!  Im not stupid, but how in the world did we get here?  Never saw this coming.  Oh, and he doens't want to stay with us, Im too negative to his recovery.  Um, don't ask me how I feel if you cna't handle it?  I dont' know where I am with its a disease or what, but at the end of the day, you do have choices that you make. I think you may be predisposed to addiciton BUT that can't be an excuse.  ANd he's pissed that I don't believe that he is ADD, which by they way, he diagnosed himself.  All I said was becareful with labels and get a professional opinion , otherwise it could be dangerous.  On one hand, glad he isn't staying with us, turns out everything out of his mouth for the past three years has been a lie but worried how my husband is taking it.

Better news, my yougenst, whos a senior in college, got an awesome scholarship to UNM to play baseball.  This is big, most go to junior colleges first, so to go straight to a university, big.  We are so proud of him and guess I didn't realize just  how good he was.  I alwasy thought so, but Im mom.

Hope everyone is doing well, sorry for venting, but I know you ladies get it and wont' judge.  Can't tell my family, that would be a nightmare.

From the Stennis facebook page, a picture of Casey!  He's the one they are holding up by the shorts.  Hope they are careful, I do want grandchildren someday.  The team photo, he's in the back row, 2nd from the right.  THe girl next to him, she was in my berthing area during my TC and was a huge help.  The team tries and play with the local teams each time they are in port.  Pretty cool!

Casey called this weekend, he sounds very good.  They are in Malaysia for a few days and he will be able to get off the ship for bit.  He was worried that he wasn't going to be able to, as hes in security now, but seems that things have calmed down enough.  Family is planning the holidays, and I hope that Im better this year than last.  Last year was hard, his first year NOT being able to come home and he cant again this year.  Halloween decorations are up and no one better steal my witches this year or THIS witch is going to get you!

Happy MOnday everyone, hope the stupids stay away, my monday is filled with them!

Oh, the girlfriend does work, actually has a good, stable job and goes to college.  Why she puts up with it, I have no freaking idea.  But her living with us would drive me to drink heavily, she's a one upper and just    does    not     stop     talking..........
