Liberty is different than Leave.  Leave is similiar to requesting time off for vacation at work, they must submit a chit and have it approved.  Liberty basically means that they have "liberty" to…Continue

Cathy Cameron said he has ordered T shirts for him and his GF. They have the Navy Logo on the front and the div flag on the back. If I can I will be buying one when we are there.

I write absolutly everything to Cameron even if it would make him cringe. I told him in the last letter about my new hobby which is coupon shopping. Some girls at work jhave got this down to a fine art so I have been practicing and working out shopping plans with them. It's quite fun but I am not sure how interested Cameron would be.

His letters sometimes are very uninformative but I get one so I am not complaining. I sent him 3 questionaires with spaces to write comments, I got non, simple checked the box for yes or no or circled the appropriate answer.
Won't try that again.

I am very impressed with WiFi in the sky. Now I can stay intouch on the flight to Chicago in 2 WEEKS

Matt did say there would be a charge on his card for a t-shirt and hoodie for their division. The hoodie had me sweating just thinking about it.
Cathy- so happy your son settled the matter for you. Prayers answered, again.
Matt overall sounded very up. But he has now passed the run so that probably has alot to do with it.
My favorite message, when he was at college and hadn't called was, 'Hello are you still alive? Did you leave funeral plans with someone??' It always got me a call or a text. There have been several days when I wished I could send that message.
Almost 14 days-- And I am most definately PROUD TO BE A NAVY MOM!

Trishar - I know the feeling about reading over letter b/f sending and thinking, boring. Try to stay uplifting with letters and tell him how proud, but talking of regular things going on and . . .

Comment by Charlie's Desertmom on August 11, 2010 at 10:41pm
if i mail a letter tomorrow will they still get it since the mail stops 10 days before pir?

Got a questionaire back today, not alot of information, basically gave one word answers. I know I should be happy, I just want to know HOW he is, where he is going, is at staying at Great Lakes or going to Pensacola. I shouldn't complain, and Im not, I just wish he understood the importance a little thing called details! He knows we all talk with one another, so I bet he is assuming that I can get the information from others.

I will say, I write a letter everyday and sometimes its really hard. At one point, I reread one and thought, gosh, my life is pretty boring!
