Liberty is different than Leave.  Leave is similiar to requesting time off for vacation at work, they must submit a chit and have it approved.  Liberty basically means that they have "liberty" to…Continue

There was a kid in 941 that made a racial slur and got ASMO'd back to the beggining, so the navy do act on it quickly and appropriatly.
As Cameron said for 941 about 80% are going to Pensacola plus plenty in th other 2 divisions I feel a charter flight coming on. Yuk bummer, but it will only make Friday a more prescious and special experince,

Kristina-- I am so sorry about the pain. The ear pain is due to the nerve to the jaw runs pat the ear. It is called refferred pain. When the swelling from removing our wisdom tooth goes down then the pain in your ear will decrease. So sorry I know it must really hurt.
I went out today and got 1/2 my outfit for PIR now got to find pants and shoes.

Texas Navy mom --- what 941 pictures are you talking about. I thought they all got their pictures taken for them to buy.

I have changed my mind about the lap top. Cameron had asked for a Kindle for christams so I saw one at Target today and think it willl be ideal, small and light. He has always been such an avid reader and I am sure in A school or on a ship he is not going to be able to have all the books he likes to read or store them anywhere. Also cheaper than a lap top. He can test or call me so I won't need the e-mail and then he can chose what lap top he wants and pay for it himself.

Cathy I am glad Sam eased a lot of worry from your mind about GF going to PIR. I know you are happy and nothing should sour this time with your son.

I kinda knew about the racial situation with one that many thought in the division was racist but didn't want to mention anything. Crazy. Its sad but its weird because sometimes get treated out of place compared to my youngest. We were talking about that today at the doctors.

Reading some of the older posts...boy you gals have been busy...I can't image that they could name another naval vessel with the same name seeing that one already exists.

Cathy, I am so glad it worked out with the GF and that your FAMILY will have your son to yourselves.

Please don't change your plans...learn from my experience. It is better that you might face the possibility that you are left behind in Chicago a day early than for your recruit to be left behind. Still see the look on my son's face when we had to leave!

Still bringing in the groceries...but taking a short break....the USS Constitution is certainly a very historical ship...but did you know that she is still a commissioned warship? And is the oldest commission warship afloat? Here is the Navy's official website on the USS Constitution.
