San Diego is waiting for summer to start. Our windows are open 24/7. Sleeping with 3 light blankets too. It has been the 2nd coldest July on Record....69 F degrees! Brrrr We're supposed to normally be 75F around this time of year. lol Talk about spoiled. Yes, we are!!!
Humidity is one of the first things my son complained about in the barracks. I love that he not only misses us but that he is finally appreciating our perfect weather.

Good Morning all! Hope everyone is doing ok. Still havent gotten a letter from my son in almost 2 wks but I am ok with it-no news is good news- that is what I try and tell myself.
Been having it rough this week.My daughter is 4 1/2 months pregant and she has been so sick. She has lost alot of weight with morning sickness(that is finally over with-Yeah) and now this round of stomach bug. Hate to watch her being so sick. But the good news is that I think she is finally through with this bug and hopefully we can build her strength back up. Oh and she finds out the sex of the baby Friday!! My first grandchild-WOW!!!

My daughter bought me a tank with anchors on it, probably alittle to skimpy for PIR, but I will be comfortable for sure...I did find out that her RC is going to help her in the run, he said if she can do her run before he laps her three times she will pass...he runs a 10:36 mile..dont know excatly how that will work, but the incentive is there! YAY...15 DAYS LEFT!!!!

Good Morning!! Just a few minutes til the 15 DAYS!!!! I hope our boys and girls are doing good this week and earning lots of flags..Im so ready to see them! I got me a shirt for PIR yesterday. Its Navy blue w/black&white on it. Wearing my white capris and black sandals (for comfy walking). What is everyone else wearing???

Jophers-- glad you got a letter..those surprise ones are the best!

Im trying real hard not to stress to much about letters. Im getting one a week on average but it is addressed to everybody. He answers everybody's mail in mine. My son isnt always informative but I take whatever he sends. He did tell me thought that they use that Sun free time to get a nice shower (longer than 2min) and rest, get ahead on details like shine boots and straighten rack, and study for upcoming tests. I know its really hard when you dont get a letter but just think that must mean he/her is resting and getting prepared for the upcoming week. And Im a PO Box so I just hang at the post office all day.LOL

Its another hot one this week her in Bama too. Heat advisory today. They actually are getting waters to have on buses for the kids.
