Division 941 - Casey mentioned that they might be going off base for a performance? Did any of your son's or daughters mention that?

m'smom yes your son is correct...it is amazing how much one can see in the peripheral vision. And yes, everyone is "on guard" to watch if someone starts to go down...yes they REALLY do pass out. Usually they recover once you get them sitting on the ground. But the goal is for the person who has passed out not to hurt themselves, OR anyone else that they may fall on, so yes it make take two or three around a person, but you can break their fall without anyone getting hurt. I remember in a squadron I was in, we had a new type of aircraft coming. So we had ALOT of dignitaries speaking who were a little long winded. Well as almost on cue, THREE went down at once, and the speaker said, "Well I guess it a sign for me to shut up now!" Oh we were so happy because we had been in ranks for 3 hours...in a hanger! :-)

My son had also told me about the locked knees. He also said something about looking around with out moving your eyeballs?? Anything on this Txnavymom? He said you were suppose to do this so if the guy next to you starts to go down, you don't go with him!! You can also break his fall if a body snatcher is not around. A friend had son graduate about a year ago and she said there were alot that went down.
My husband and I sing with a choral group. We do the Memorial Day program in our community. The Sea Cadets are there every year and one year one of these young people went down in front of the whole crowd. They had to help him into the nearby firehall. It was very hot that year, with no shade.
