While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

m'smom-- I do like boxermom..cook them on low in oven bout 4 hrs..I wrap them in foil with I little water or ice cubes for moisture..but then while they are hot I baste them with my bbq sauce and let it sit til cool and then throw those baby's on the grill!!! YUM...think Im coming to your house :-)

m'smom-Im no master chef,i bake them 1st at 200 for 3-4 hours till they are almost fall of the bone,I also bake them the last hour in the oven w/ my sauce so the flavor bakes in .then i put them on the grill to brown up the sauce and give them that bbq flavor.Hope this helps!!!

Only 26 mins then we will be at the 16 day mark.
Question for all you out there..a subject we haven't hit on at all. I have two slabs of ribs in my freezer. The last time I cooked them my very patient hubby told me they were 'ok'. I have a really good sauce to use on the grill, but how do I cook them before the grill??? Some books say bake them, some say boil them ...does anyone have a great way to do it??
Thanks for the help. (I figured food would take our minds off the 16 days)
