Kristina - I'm sure my son was joining in on your husband's IT. He has told me in his letters that he joins in to be a team and to help lose weight. I also (hope you don't mind) told him recently to help a recruit that has trouble with taking tests (your husband). Of course, we can't use last names as only my son says he knows, but tried to describe as best I could with being married with family. My son is a team worker and very good at studying and taking tests and has always been to help whoever. Hopefully he connects or has connected with your husband;. As being an EMT-Instructor for 16 years previous, I had many students have trouble with taking written tests (I myself included as it depends on who makes up the tests and had trouble with second guessing). I pray Ken is able to connect with my clues and help him. If not, I know they are working together and will help each other for whatever each is lacking.

Thanks. Nah i get strep a lot too. I got one a month ago and now thats when my gum swelled in the back. My travel plans i figured it all out thank you. We can't wait to see you too.
I was thinking about getting those signature dogs for everyone to sign as a keepsake. For starting this journey with really great people

Kristina - you will be fine, if wisdom get out. I love the Lord, but wisdom teeth are the least needed and most troublesome. Way back in my 20's all my gums swelled and were red, didn't know whether I should go to dentist or doctor. B/c of the severity I elected doctor. Come to find out it I had Strep that infected gums from wisdom teeth. B/f as a teen I had Strep several times. Since wisdom teeth out, knock on wood, haven't had since.

As for your problems with travel, it will work out. Believe me that asking for His help even through friends here, He will show you how. I think you know letting all of us know that all will come up with a solution for you. Cant' wait to meet you and all on here 8/26.

my husband was crazy too in losing weight. He didnt care what he had to do he was determine in joining. He kept losing weight like crazy. Running and sauna's and bike riding. It paid off.
KJ's mom- I hope everything is going good with him. Like it was weird my husband is now writing long letters. Like because he is port watch one of the guys forget to log in something in the log. He got Beat infront of the whole division for 45 mins. He was upset but he kept writing and writing. Which is okay for me. I think honestly everybody is having it harder in the end rather than the beginning. I think in the beginning it was more of a shocker of not fully knowing what to expect. But now they are sick in some kind of way and they are tired and they testing skills are coming. They are all just stressed and it seems like there are still some individuals in 285 that is not working with the team. Well, i am happy to hear your son had heart fo joining the navy and didn't give up. He will do good.

I worry not just b/c of not receiving a letter, but for two other reasons. One is he had worked out half year loosing a tremendous amount of weight b/f joining and then after joining worked to lose more. After being in BC he went from 240 to under 200. The second is b/c he wants this sooo very much and will do anything to get there. Making me think he is so very upset about something. Of course, the other thing (which I'm praying is the answer) is that he has been writing big letter as in diary of week when he can write and last letter was very large. Was surprised there was no extra postage on as I have had to put on mine. Maybe it was sent back to him?

I do the same thing. I read all the letters and memorize them. I even counted them. lol Well, ladies I went to the ER for my tooth. I am trying to get an appointment for monday. They dont see an infection but they believe its my wisdom. I rather have it out before I leave. They said to go to the dentist. They gave me pain killers. I am proud of everybody's sons and daughters and loved one. Cant wait to see everybody in the finish line.

msbabyphat- jesse, my husband, said that he has been so busy and the minute he hits his rack, he passes out. so im sure thats the reason you havent gotten a letter from your son. my letters are very brief and makes me want more! they are like a page or two, sometimes even a half a page and its such a tease. i read them over and over again till i basically memorize them! he said that their division is coming together more and more everyday and that is something to be proud of! im so happy for them and their achievements!

Cathy- I was wondering the same thing..will 285 have to redo the Marlin spike?

I received a brief letter and 2 of the questionnaires I sent earlier to him. He wrote that he was not well, and I just chalked up his short letter to him not feeling very well. But they are SUPER busy now.

I told my oldest Son about 285 not doing so well on the Marlin Spike and he is an ex marine. He said, Mom don't worry it is another test to get them to fail together and to work well together and pass. He assured me they would be fine. Of course James is my youngest and I am worried. I bet the did get IT. I hate it since he is sick with cold/sinus crap and some of the other guys in the division are sick with this too. Praying for them.
Curious and worried now what happened to them after they failed the Marlin Spike? Does any one know the answer this to question? Sure would appreciate your insight.
Going to try to sleep now Ladies. My oldest Son, daughter-in-law and a few others are coming for a visit in the morning.
Good night Ladies..hope you all sleep well. At least we know where are SR's are.
Proud to be a NAVY MOM!

Hoppi aka Angie - he passed the PFS for buds, but is waiting on his dental exam? For now, he doesn't know if he is going to stay in great lakes or go to pensacola. He passed the PFA almost 2 weeks ago. How will he know if there is an opening?
