Liberty is different than Leave.  Leave is similiar to requesting time off for vacation at work, they must submit a chit and have it approved.  Liberty basically means that they have "liberty" to…Continue

TxNavyMom-That is too funny! lmao!!
Nikosmom-I can identify with the tears. Mine too at first were of sadness and now of how proud I am of him.
CathyJ-Bless you for making those ribbons!
kristinaR-yeah, I agree with another mom's suggestion. Why not take the Greyhound Bus? It is a very long drive by car. By bus it would certainly be less expensive than flying?
zac's mom: I'm saving Mike's letters for a scrapbook too. I'll save all his Navy memories (pictures, Tiger Cruise with US!, souvenirs he's collected from all countries, etc...) and give the scrap book to him when he gets out of the Navy. Probably by then, he'll be married and I'll be giving it to his wife.

shannong: They are allowed to receive shampoo from home? That surprised me. But glad they let her keep it!

shannong-this is funny that both our girls are in the same division. Eryn only mentions them by the last name, so I am so dying to know if one of girls she talks about all the time is your daughter. She said the girl's mom is also on Navy moms too. Also, there is a boy in her division that she has also befriended whose mom is also here.. I just finished mailing a package with a straightener, liquid eyeliner, and a tweezer. Also, regulation silver ball earrings that they can wear in uniform. The price of beauty!

I know someone asked before which is the brother division. For Division 285 the brother division is 286. Brother divisions are in the same ship. Which would make sense to me. I didnt know if that was answered yet but I found the answer and thought I would share it. It said they share the same ship, training, and graduation.

Yep talking about the gals...my daughter's letters yesterday takes about the ladies having farting contests during their "off" time on Sunday, and being able to take a "cr-p" really easy now. She said that they (the girls) will sit on their "thrones" and have casual chit chat...certainly a big turn about from a few weeks ago when she could not "go" in front of anyone.
