Californiamom-Great find. Loved all the letters that Becky posted. They are both very good writers. Lots of info on the next few weeks too. I just searched the forums for My Boot Camp Story, it was about the 3rd or 4th down on the list.

Oh, I forgot to mention.....Her title to her mini-blog is "My Boot Camp Story". By Becky (mom of 2 sailors) The lady is wearing a blue sun-dress.

yeah, what is up with the "jarhead" haircut? My son he was getting one too. I thought the jarhead look was more of a "marine" thingy. Are the boys requesting this look or is the Navy telling them we want you to look like the marines now? ;-D Btw, this is a MUST ladies. Some Navy mom's son graduated in 2009 and she took the time to post all of her son's 6 ENTIRE letters! (Personally, I think her son should become a writer!) He really paints the picture of what our guys are going through. If you have the time, just click on FORUMS box, then type in the little box on the left Boot camp and graduation tips. These letters fill in what our recruits left out! lol

shannonLOL ..thank you..I love hearing ya'll letters too though cause its funny..Zac telling me on the phone he got his jarhead hair cut and then one of you (cant remember) said your daughter wanted her straightener for pics..And Ive got a prissy one and badass one too at my house now..makes for interesting days cause when the prissy one whines about anything my tough one tells her quit being a diva..LOL

All is forgiven...hahahaha...I think there's only two of us here, TXNavyMom and me...I love hearing the boys letters compared to mine...they're soooo similar!!! Too funny! My girl is a total Badass, she's not a prissy girl at all...so her language and references are soooo boy-like! At least I have one at home who is somewhat ladylike!!!
