IF WE SEND A LETTER TO A DIVISION W/NO NAME ON IT WILL THEY GET IT? I WAS THINKING OF SENDING A NOTE TO THE DIV AS A WHOLE,THANKING THEM FOR THIER HARD WORK AND DEDICATION,BUT I DONT WANT TO EMBARASS MY PR,I COULD JUST SIGN IT BOXERMOM AND NO ONE WOULD KNOW EXCEPT MY SON.

Hello Ladies--TGIF

I GOT MAIL!!!!!!!! I got some good info in this one from Zac for us on what they did this week and whats coming up.

This past Mon-8/2 they got their ATM cards and checks.
That Tue-8/3 they have USS MarlinSpike to teach basic seamanship.He said its like a ship inside a building and they'll tour it and learn about a ship.
Then Wed-8/4 was personnel, uniform, weapons turnover, rack and zone inspections. He was nervous about those.
Then yesterday Thurs 8/5 they had simulated and live fire at the shooting range.
And today Fri 8/6 they're having PFA again. He said he already passed his first one just hoped he did better than before.
Next week they have 3 days of firefighting and the gas chamber. (So we gotta really pray for our men next week ladies and keep our candles burning)
AND he said his A school got reduced to 10 weeks!
oh, He also said they get letters every weekday before taps.

He said he was really happy to get to talk to me last week and he cant wait to see us at PIR and he doesnt want to hang at the room. Said he's been cooped up in those barracks and he wants to get out and see some of Chicago and show off his cool uniforms..( LOL-yep thats my son)

And I could tell he's ready for grad and to move onto A school cause he also was telling me to tell his brother get his Xbox online account ready..(LOL)

So sounds like its down to the final chapters ladies..Im SO PROUD of our guys!! Im going to send a Good Luck card today for Zac to share with his division and just tell them how PROUD we are over here of them!!

I cant wait to see him and give him the biggest hug EVER!!!!!!

Thanks nikosmom & tnpromised for your words of encouragement. I am missing him really bad today. But i think you are right nikosmom- i should write him a letter, even though i just sent a letter off Wed. to him -another one can only make it better for him and me!! Thanks for the advice!!

Kristina...its no different for you to borrow the car to go to the store or to NYC...your insurance will cover you personally and her insurance will cover the car. You do not have to change tags or re-register it. Now, if she gifted?gave it to you, then you'd have to put it in your name, but to borrow it, thats just what it is..borrowing! :)

I went to Google Maps and googled Great Lakes. Then did a search for mini golf or whatever you like. It brought up about 8. Some indoor and some outdoor. Also went to AAA yesterday. They had a map of the Chicago vicinity that shows pretty good detail of the area north of Chicago.
Hubby and I are off to visit our daughter this weekend, so I will not be around for a few days. Please try not to post 20 pages of messages for me to read when I get back!! lol I find it interesting that some days when I get on in the morning, there are 5 pages from late the night before and some days there is one. Keep talking, I love it!!

Hi Guys...got my letter...hey TXNAVYMOM, didnt realize you had a daughter in 941..me too!!! Here's her greeting to me..."Holy Shit Batman, Its August Already!" Yep, she's a piece of work, that one!!! Said they got a 9.5 on Marlinspike..she's super stoked at that! She's getting tendonitis in both her achilles tendons from her boots! Yuck, what a pain...Says the food still sucks, but she's a very picky eater! I sent her Herbal Essence shampoo and she says she's LOVING it...ahh, the little things they learn to appreciate! I can see the end of the tunnel, Im getting very excited...will be sooo glad when this is over!!!

GOODMORNING N4M"S, ALL OF YOU ARE SUCH AN INSPIRATION TO ME,I CANT START MY DAY W/O CHECKING THIS SITE.I DONT HAVE ANY FRIENDS OR FAMILY THAT HAVE GONE THROUGH THIS,SO I REALLY RELY ON YOUR ADVICE AND SUPPORT.
RICHARD(MITCH) ALSO DECIDED VERY YOUNG TO JOIN THE NAVY(I THINK ABOUT 8TH GRADE) WE DID THE DEP PROGRAM FOR A YEAR AND I KEPT ASKING TONS OF QUESTIONS.THE NAVY IS HIS DREAM AND HAS BEEN FOR A LONG TIME.HE IS FINALLY LIVING IT AND FROM THE SOUNDS OF IT HE REALLY LOVES IT!
THE WEATHER HERE IS GORGOUSE,ABOUT 80 W/ NO HUMIDITY SO OUR PRS SHOULD BE HAVING GOOD WEATHER TOO!!
IM STILL WAITING FOR A LETTER THIS WEEK, I THINK HE KNOWS IM STILL FREAKING OUT ABOUT HIS EARS AND HE TRYING TO CUT THE CORD!LOL! THEY ARE ALL VERY BUSY,I WILL HEAR FROM HIM WHEN HE HAS TIME.
HAS ANYONE BEEN TO GL BEFORE?WE ARE STAYING IN WAUKEGON AND IM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THINGS FOR THE FAMILY TO DO FOR 3 DAYS THAT WONT BREAK THE BANK? IS NAVY PIER EXSPENSIVE? HOW ABOUT A PUT-PUT GOLF-GO CART PLACE?
P.S. SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS BUT MY COMPUTER IS OLD , THE CAPS LOCK BUTTON IS STUCK AND MY COMPUTER FIXER IS IN BC.LOL.
