Liberty is different than Leave.  Leave is similiar to requesting time off for vacation at work, they must submit a chit and have it approved.  Liberty basically means that they have "liberty" to…Continue

CaliMom-it really is odd...guess we are all going through our 'basic' too with them huh?? LOL...And I completely understand what you are saying..its quieter here cause there is no arguing with his brother but I still have the boy stench from his brother LOL...but I sure do miss hearing his laughter of them two playing around!

It's weird how our moods seem to be in sync, huh? Last week we were all feeling frazzled with anticipation for "The Call", and now I'm feeling like most of you too.....I'm really missing our son and feel a little guilty that our lives are going on without him. He's only 19 and I don't think I was ready to let him go. Even after PIR, it may get worse because it will be a longer stretch until we see him after A school.
The upside is: Our house is cleaner, no more dirty dishes in the living room, the "boy stench" is gone from his room, no wet towels in his room, his bed is always made now. Hubby jokingly says he misses our son taking out the trash and mowing the lawn. lol But I'd trade any of that just to have him back home and be able to see him on a daily basis.

I did e-mail the GM of the Ramada to see if we needed to do anything besides tell him we were coming. There is nothing we need to do but show up. Can't wait to meet you all.

Good Morning moms! Addicted to N4M's, me.........nah. Just check it first thing in the morning, several times throughout the day, before I go to bed, is that considered addicted? This week is rough. I don't know what it is, but I feel a littel guilty, as my family is going on with our lives, while Casey isn't here. I know, cut the cord, but I think what makes it harder is the lack of instant communication and lets face it, control. My house is cleaner, quieter, no fighting between brothers, so in a way, its nice, and I think that makes me feel guilty. I still catch myself looking at the clock, especailly at night, and think, hes sleeping now (or I hope he is) . Today should be my letter day, so hopefully I will feel better after.

M'smom - a hummingbird? I have to admit, the first thing this morning, I had to find out what was in your fireplace. Too funny!

Jopers-hang in there, we are in this together. We will all have our good days and bad, but having this site has made it so much easier. Here if you.

I am right there with you Djloch- my son is my youngest and the last to leave home. I miss him terribly. He is my baby. ;-)
I write him daily and let him know how proud I am to be his Mom. He is such a good kid..well man. hard to believe he is a grown man. You know I just want to keep him little and home with me. He is so precious as are my other 2, but there is something about letting go of the last one. I am not liking this "empty nest".
Praying for all our SR's and all you ladies too.

can't wait for PIR. ;-)

Plan to go purchase candle this weekend. I work 12 hour days and my only real free time is the weekends.

Take care ladies!
