Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

morning everyone-- I am missing my boy too worse this week..I just miss being able to talk to him.. but I think this week is just the reality to me that he is out of the nest..off to the world...but Im so proud of him! all of his letters have been upbeat too which really makes my heart full..now all I need is to see him at PIR and then I can rest knowing my job is done and then my new role of mom will begin.....didnt get to get my candle yesterday but will today..I have my bowl ready with some blue and white marbles and I printed out the poem too and put in picture frame with border to sit beside candle on the table..
Im so thankful for PIR group!!!

Good Morning Everyone!! I am here in NC and it is very humid today-ughhhh. I have to share a secret with everyone --I AM ADDICTED TO N4M'S-------It seems like I am always up here. I am at work, but i constantly go back and forth from my work to this website. It is like I am going to miss something up here!! LOL Does anyone else have this problem? The crazy things us mothers do to stay close to our love ones!!

GOODMORNING FROM MICHIGAN LADIES!! I HAVENT HEARD FROM MY PR YET THIS WEEK, BUT IM HOPING MAYBE TODAY I WILL GET A LETTER.I ALSO LOVE THE BLUE CANDLE IDEA AND WILL BE SCOUTING EVERY STORE I GO INTO TILL I FIND EXACTLY THE PERFECT ONE,THE 12 STEP POEM HELPED TOO.
IVE BEEN MISSING BY SON ALOT THIS WEEK TOO,I WORK FOR THE AMERICAN RED CROSS AND OUR BLOOD DRIVE WAS AT A LEGION POST YESTERDAY,EVERYTIME I LOOKED AROUND I SAW SOMETHING THAT REMINDED ME OF OUR PR'S OR SERVICE MEN/WOMEN IN GENERAL SO IT WAS A ROUGH DAY.
ALL OF MITCH'S LETTERS HAVE BEEN VERY UPBEAT AND POSITIVE,HE SAID HE LIKES BEING AT GL AND BOOTCAMP ISNT AS BAD AS HE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE,IM HOPING HE STILL HAS THIS ATTITUDE AFTER 8 WEEKS OF BEING THERE.
JO-IM ALSO A CONTROL FREAK,THIS HAS BEEN REALLY ROUGH ON ME TOO,I AM ALSO HAVEING TO LEARN TO CHANNEL THAT ENERGY IN A NEW DIRECTION AND ITS NOT THAT EASY.WE WILL GET THROUGH IT W/ THE HELP OF ALL THESE WONDERFUL LADIES.
P.S. WHOEVER HAD THE BIRD IN THE HOUSE,ILL TRADE YOU!! WE GET BATS!!!LOL.

Morning everyone! I love the blue candle or light idea. I didnt know anything about it. I'm missing Joey. Its crazy that we are this close to PIR. I cant even imagine all the information they are getting. We really cant wait to see the change in him.

Had a rough couple of days these past few days. I miss Cameron and just want to be able to talk to him. I feel kinda out of control and at a loss. I think it's that controlling nature of mine and this pay issue has just totally shown me how much controll of my son I have lost and to let him be a grown man. Moma could always fix things and now it is up to him. I will be going out this week to get my blue candle. I must say I lurk more than I post but I have got some good info from you all. Love, prayers and hugs to all of you
