It turned out that the 'thing' in my fireplace wasn't really in the fireplace. There was a humming bird in my family room! We are still trying to figuer out how it got into the house. The flue is closed and the glass doors on the fireplace are latched tight. Still looking for birdie 'presents'. Something new everyday, keeps life interesting!
Last time Matt and I had to get a squirrel out. But the flue was open that time.

Thank you for sharing info on blue candle and thanks m's mom for the 12 Steps. I have printed and will keep on my fridge. While I was writing my son, I was also reading up on comments here. I made sure to tell my son how very much I am proud of him and blessed that he is my son. I also told him of the blue candle and will light during his and all recruits the night of BS-21 along with other events. Thanks to all of you for the wealth of info and help. If your sons and daughters are even half of what love, caring, determination that I see in their parents here, they WILL succeed anything.

Does anyone know what times we should have the candle lit? From what I can gather, BS starts at 8PM and lasts for 12 hours?

Cathy- Do you have one of those electric candles that people put out at Christmas? Maybe you could find a blue light blub and leave that on while you are sleeping. If we lived closer I would lend you one!
