Good Morning Navy Moms! I hope that everyone stays cool (Nikosmom - hope its not too brutal today), and has a fantastic day. Yesterday was a little rough, was missing Casey more than usual yesterday. Today, after reading the 12 steps below, can't help but be in a better mood. Thank you m'smom for the posting this morning!

Ladies, I was working really hard here in my office (lol) and found this list from way back. I have included the reference to give credit where credit is due. I thought it was an inspriational piece that we could use for a long time.

Comment by CharlotteT (Sailor Tori's Mom) on December 3, 2009 at 12:16am Navy Moms there is a 12 step program. please read below.

Step 1. Admit you are powerless over the Honor, Courage, and Commitment our loved ones have taken.

Step 2. Write Write Write, encourage yoru recruit/sailor of his/her bravery and how proud of them you are.

Step 3. Humbly ask your recruit/sailor, how is it possible your were so lucky to have them in your life.

Step 4. Believe that God will protect and watch over us and them everyday we are apart.

Step 5. Burn your blue candle, every holiday, birthday and special occasion, in honor of your recruit/sailor that cannot spend it with you. Let them know you do it, so they know that even though they are not there in body, they are always with you in your heart, mind and spirit.

Step 6. Try our best not to cry with every phone call, their time is limited when on the phone and we don't want to waste it.

Step 7. Lean on every Mom/Dad/ Aunt/ Uncle/ Brother/Sister and friend on Navyformoms.com and others close to you when you are feeling down.

Step 8. Encourage your recruit/sailor with every communication.

Step 9. Never sign onto N4M without a kleenex box handy.

Step 10. share your resources with everyone else, you may know something, someone else needs to know and doesn't.

Step 11. Always share a funny story or joke with yoru recruit/sailor, they need the laugh.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY!!!!!

Step 12. LOVE THEM, hard. remind them every chance you get. They are protecting us everyday.

I believe there are 5 divisions in PIR 08/27/10
Comment by diannep on August 3, 2010 at 8:45am
4 divisions can go in one night for BStations. It is happening in both of the groups that I have started. 5 divisions? Maybe!
