Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by diannep on August 2, 2010 at 4:35pm: No guarantee on any calls. Even if they are planned, they can be taken away, or awarded at the last minute unexpectedly. Long way of saying...attach the cell to your body at all times...even in the bathroom! Some ladies put it in their bras! I know of moms who stepped outside just for a minute and missed the call. It is nerve racking to be so tied to your phone, but well worth it!

Had a couple in my office today from AZ. They agreed 116 is pretty hot! But no humidity. They are heading home before it gets bad here again. Anyone looked at the weather in Great Lakes??

Comment by trisha on August 2, 2010 at 3:56pm: Wow, what a Monday. This is one of those days when I wish I had stayed in bed! Im just going to keep telling myself, it could be worse, I could be in boot camp. :-) Week 4 for our guys/gals, so it should be getting better for them?

You could go to the location where your received your ID and they would be able to tell you if you are in the system. I think however, if you are in possession of your dependent's ID then you are good to go.
