Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If anybody hears details about the recruits getting a chance to change their rates this week, let us know. Also, ask when our groups battle station day is. Maybe by pooling our information together we can get a better picture.

Comment by m'smom on July 27, 2010 at 1:52pm: Those of you on facebook, the Recruit Training Center Just posted an article on the FIT Training that recruits are given when they fail the fitness test. http://www.navy.mil/search/display.asp?story_id=54872 Don't know if this will get you there or not. I thought it was mine in the one picture, but it is dated June 9th, before our guys got there.

Comment by trisha on July 27, 2010 at 1:02pm: My call came this past Friday, division 941 and I understand they were given the phone call due to how they performed on written test. I wasn't expecting the call until late this week by what the past PIR groups had indicated. Seems that alot of the calls start in the 3rd week. We are week 3 day 3 today. (I hope I have that right).
