Liberty is different than Leave.  Leave is similiar to requesting time off for vacation at work, they must submit a chit and have it approved.  Liberty basically means that they have "liberty" to…Continue

The Prayer below was posted by Missy in PIR 7/23. It's obviously written by a wife or GF, but it works for any of us. This is the best one I've heard in a long time. Prayers out and candles lit for those last divisions doing BS-21 tonight - they graduate on Friday.

Dear Lord, give me the greatness of heart to see
The difference between duty and his love for me.
Give me understanding so that I may know
That when duty calls he must go.
Give me a task to do each day
to fill the time he is away.
And, Lord, when he goes out to sea
Bring him safely home to me

Got three letters tody! LOL, one was the fill in the blank, which he seemed to love. He sounds more mature, growing up, accepting the process. He said he may be switiching divisions if he passes the buds test, which was supposed to be this week. If he switches, he says he will have to switch divisions and that would push back his PIR a week. Wrote some really nice things to his brother, showing his maturity. Ok, feeling better. Hope this week keeps getting better for him.

Oh my goodness KJ's Mom-

looks like we're going through similar circumstances. It is good that you can be there for your Mom. My Dad is 22 hours driving distance. I feel helpless at this point, cept to pray.
I'll pray for your Mom and for you. I hope she will be strong and well soon.
My Son new that he would be Sub ET when he went to BC. Your Sons recruiter should have the details of his rating available to give.
God Bless you and your family!

tnpromised -
I will be praying for your Dad. Not only are our sons Div 285 and to be ETs, but my Mom had a stroke over two weeks ago. I have been working with her every day, but not getting very far, very fast. How do I find out which ET my son will be?

I will be praying for all here for their losses and difficulties during this rough time, to give us all strength.

Ladies,

Just got a call from my brother that my Dad is back in the hospital and it appears he has had another stroke. Please pray for him. I really appreciate it. Thank you.

My daughter and Mother received letters from my son today. He said they are receiving mail daily now. I am so excited for this! He said that there were 88 guys that started and now 86. He is homesick and said BC is all about following instructions and keeping quiet. He said he has no problems with that. I probably will get my letter tomorrow as I live in the southern area of the US.

I hope you all receive letters today or tomorrow. God Bless!
