I havent received anymore letters or calls yet and I too am taking the 'no news is good news' approach..I want to hear from him but Im not sure Im ready to hear the bad stuff yet cause I know I wont be able to do anything about it..Would rather hear it at the end when all over and he's thru it and he can say ' we had to do this or that but look at me now '

I just checked out that Navy racks video on the page here and it is not the right one about boot camp. On you tube i put US Navy boot camp and several video's come up, including the RAcks video.

Cathy he will be fine, they all will be fine. I too just long to actually hear him speak and tell me the good, the bad and the ugly. I get so worried I am going to miss his call tough. Cathy your thought processes are just like mine, especially about the gas chamber, oh my that week will be bad. As for my son, he is going to love the small arms training.

Just an update on our Meet & Greet. There are 40 people give or take a couple that have RSVP'ed. If you have just joined our group, click on events on your page, then click on August 26th. The Meet & Greet should show and you can RSVP with how many will be coming. This is a get-together that the Ramada hosts, for all of us to meet each other.

I haven't received a letter from my son yet - Ship 04, Div. 286 - PIR date 8-27-2010. Wondering if any moms with sailors in this same division have received any letters yet?? Let me know if you're heard anything! Thanks!

That is what I have said to several people. They get him up, make him clean his room and make his bed, feed him, teach him something and put him to bed. They are doing what I tried to do for years. And it is temporary. It will end. In 37 days!
