Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My husband is close to that and 230 my family is tall i am the short one 5'5. I just thought it was weird reading that letter and i was wondering who is his mate that are doing good and to see that i was happy. I am hoping i get another letter soon. At least the form letter.

I happy they have a great division and rdc's. My prayers were because i wanted him to have to have a good experience. Cant wait til they become sailors

this is so wonderful to read what a great division my son is in..I could tell by his letter home that things were going really good for him cause I could hear it in his words. And Im so glad to find other parents that I can communicate with for the upcoming graduation

m'smom: No way will you know how many to provide for. That was a question on a different PIR group with the mom making corsages for all....she made a few extras but that was all. If you make simple ribbons, you can make extras if you want to take there for those moms who are not on here...but honestly, you are not expected to do all of that and there is no way you will know how many. I would only do the nametags for those on here. You can drive yourself crazy trying to have something for all.

I really like that idea with the ribbon and the sailors name on the end of it. I feel good to be part of something. Trust me.
