Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Keep cool Kristina-115 WOW and I thought our 95 last week was bad. Do you have humidity with that or is it dry?

Comment by m'smom on July 14, 2010 at 8:48am: Yes, those 8/13er's are very creative group. They are talking sailors caps, ribbons for name tags and all kinds of stuff.
diannep-do we do enough for all that are in the 5 divisions-say if we do name tags? There are only 17 on this site and some of those are experienced moms here to help us. How do we find out about how many in each division? I know Kristina's hubby told her about 83 in 285. Maybe 84 now with Niko. I will try to set up the event and then you guys can RSVP to see if I did it right!! LOL

I have seen some very creative ideas on there!

Days like these just want to crumble, but know cant quit. How have you been lately? I was going to look into both things tomorrow. If i find out anything will post but me beings hours apart ya might find stuff before me. :O)

Comment by diannep on July 13, 2010 at 8:10pm: Cathy and nikosmom. I love the prayers too and love seeing the results! Heis63's experience was such a HUGE answer to prayer. SO thrilling to see the picture of her dad there at PIR to watch his grandson after his health issues!
If you ever have other prayer needs, check out Christian Chat group on here. Some great praying moms in that one...I love to drop in. They have been wonderful praying for my son.
