Hi m'mom It is really easy to customize your page. Here is what you do: 1. Go to "settings" 2. Click on the "my page" link and 3. Click on the "change the appearance" link. You will have lots of choices in regards to different color backgrounds and font colors. I have not had time, but you can add pictures and other stuff as well. Hope this helps ;-)

Update on Div 242, PIR 7/9 (that's today): This was the division who had to re-do 2 hrs of BS-21 (Battle Stations 21 exercise) yesterday in order to graduate today!

Just updating everyone, Div. 242 graduated with no problems. It was great! We have our son and he looks so good. We have him all day today, tomorrow and Sun. Thanks for all of the well wishes and prayers for his division.

I was thinking about something today. He writes to me saying. ' Hey out of 83 i am the only one married ' i honestly had to sit back and laugh. I told him don't worry some might be getting married after boot camp. Be a good role model. Can't wait for PIR to take pictures of everyone. That would be an unforgettable event. We are almost there.

Hello to all. Finally had to place a call to the recruiter to get my daughter's address since "The Letter" has not yet arrived. To nikosmom-my husband and I are Navy vets as well--our son is an AWF2 serving in a logistics squadron and my daughter Erin just left for bc on 6/28 and has enlisted as an HM. I am like you--this will be my 4th go round and I worry still just the same. Four years ago after my son graduated from bc he spent 6 miserable months in THU due to a undiagnosed sinus issue which had to be treated so he could fly. He had surgery but it took several months of one hand not knowing what the other hand was doing-and a call to a shipmate friend in Millington to get him out of there. Now he is doing great! But I known what understand your pain and frustration. Hang in there--sometimes I think it is harder on those who know what sort of things could go wrong.

To rynot-my daughter Erin, I discovered ended up on the USS Constitution (ship 6) in division 941. She was on the dance/drill team in high school so she is most likely part of the flag corps. Maybe your son is too :-)

I had prepared myself for the box so it wasn't too bad. As my sister, the Marine mom told me , it's just his clothes, not him. However my very old dog kept sniffing the box looking for her buddy.

Wow. I miss my husband. I know he was ok by the letter. It will get better we will go through this together with the other members.
