OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

OMG swine flu Alex 12/294 has been sick since he got there! I really hope it doesn't hold them back! I got a letter yesterday he said he is behind in his PT from being sick. But he said all is well.

I got a letter from Alex too today. It was really perfect because today was his birthday I hope no one found out I wasn't even allowed to send him a card [at his request] apparently they harass you if they find out. This is his first birthday away from home. He jokingly said this is the best birthday ever...not!
