Wow, 3 years..and counting!! Can you all BELIEVE it already? Those days, wks, months of bootcamp went on forever, the "school" days picked up some momentum, then the long deployments...but, overall, it has truly gone by in a jiffy. Soon, these wonderful men and women will either be heading out into our society, great and tall...or reenlisting to stand tall and proud with us more proud of em! Safe travels and God Bless you sailors!

Carol,
I agree, what a change this past year has made! What growth! (Both our sailors and ourselves!) Well moms, (or other members related to our sailors), we have survived over a year!
I, too, send prayers for each and every one of our sailors, as well as all the sailors and other military men/women worldwide...

Well, we have survived over the one year mark. I pray all your sailors are safe.

Once you know your sailor's bed size--
ours said their beds were not the most comfortable. We got him a mattress memory foam pad of about 4 " thick, and then got him deep sheets. He really likes it.

Sure hope everyone had a real Blessing and enjoyed themselves with a Wonderful Thanksgiving! Now that the cold has set in, snow, and the unpredictable winter weather...May the Christmas Season also find everyone wrapped in the spirit and meaning of this holiday time :0}

Hi Popeyes Mom
I have been going through all my messages and discussions too. Hated that I had to take off the name of his favorite RDC from boot camp---he was an awesome influence on our son. I am glad that I did get a moment with him to thank him in person, and that's whats important.
Been a very reflective day, this Veteran's Day. Wishing all the best to everyone here and their families.

OMG-Susan, -have you asked the recruiter if they can shed some light on the hold up? Even waiting to class up, this seems unbelievably long!!!
Our sailor is in Goose Creek, SC in the nuke program. He grads from A school on Nov 21st.
Our sailor will also be home for Christmas--we couldn't afford the difference between his flying in 12/19 and 12/20, so guess who is coming home on my birthday on the 20th?!?!!!!
Everyone take care and please pray for our sailors who have received orders for the Sand Box. You are in my heart.
