Happy New Year Ladies...

Becky how's your son doing? My duaghter leaves for her first deployment tomorrow. I'm dredging it so much, wishing the next 6 months go by fast. She's on the USS Ike and heading to the Bahrain area.

My prayers to all our Military Service Men and Women. Also to my friend on N4M.

Becky, my heart goes out to you. Reading your post I cried, I know it so very hard. You're in my thoughts and prayers. It made me remember when Jennifer left for Bootcamp, that pit in your stomach never goes away. Take care of yourself....

Hi Everyone, well Jennifer is on her way to VA this afternoon. It was hard for her to leave her new friends. I miss her so much. I pray that when she gets to VA everything falls in place and she gets to have Christmas Leave. Hope all is well you and your sailors.

Oh, and I do have both sons home for Christmas, yippee! My oldest (his ship is the USS Enterprise) will be home from December 31 to January 10. My youngest, who you guys are familiar with, his leave is December 18 to January 3. So, their leave times overlap.....I'll have all day January 1 and January 2 with both of them home. The 31st and the 3rd will be travel days.........but, I'm thankful to at least have time with both.

I substitute at our high school and the Photo Club is going to take photos of them in their uniforms.....I can't wait to have a photo of both of them in their uniforms!

Barbara, my son also has a lengthy training -- 1 1/2 years.......rescue swimmer.

Alicia, what is your son's job? And again, what is his ship? Does it go out on deployment soon?
Comment by TexasMomof2 on November 13, 2009 at 7:32pm
Alicia, oh my gosh, how absurd is that??!! Certainly no offense here and my thought is if someone doesn't like it, then they ought to move on.....to take the time to actually contact you???......you need to totally disregard it.

Wow Susan, she has to be in so much pain. I wish her luck and hope she can get surgery soon.

I got my computer and hope to have it up this weekend. Take care and stay in touch.
