~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option.

~It is also a good idea to change your visibility settings for your Profile Page (MY PAGE) to "Just my friends".

Just got a call from my son, Ship 14 Div 197.  So happy to hear from him and not expecting it!  He's doing well.  Said that his Div is also doing well.  They received 2 flags for Athleticism and Sharpshooter...so cool!  He's all better from his infection and said they are in he11 week.  Lots of tests.  He said that they are luckier than some other Div...hear announcement and know they are going to get beat.  He got his rating, he'll be an EM.

We are planning to make it to Sarge's meet and greet.  May even contribute a basket of my canned goodies.

Me too, got a call from Sailor Daughter Nuke and she sounded SO happy.  Ship 03, Div 195. Said the Nay is just the place for her. She got her wisdom teeth out ,and said it went well and she got to choose which song to listen to before the anesthesia (impacted teeth).  Said, don't expect another  phone call for 2 weeks.  So glad she's well and happy.

@Joanne, yes my son mentioned that about the ribbons as well.  Said the last divisions that got them, was the last.

@ Joanne: call from my son too. Div 197. He told me the range was down. He said their div is doing well. He sounded upbeat and confident. He is looking forward to graduation. I'm looking forward to seeing his face again

We just got a call from our son. Div 197 He sounded good. He enjoyed the gun range simulation, got the marksmen but their div won't be getting ribbons for that for some reason. They were supposed to have fire fighting next week but he said that was down. They had an inspection, he said they found nothing wrong. His card ran out on us. His dad was home this time so it was the first time he got to talk to him senses he left. Good to hear his voice.

So, I just got off the phone with my son. He sounded so good! He said he had pink eye and his wisdom teeth pulled. He's still on track to graduate as scheduled and explained to me where his school is and what he will be doing. We talked about the list for graduation and all that. He said he has gained a lot of weight. I can't wait to see him! He's ready for Liberty and so am I!
