Hello,

Just received my sons form letter today, he will be graduating 8/17.  For the list of people to come to Graduation, he only put my name.  Does anyone know if there is a way to add to this list if anyone else is going to go?   Thanks for any help.

vicsmom, I don't know much for sure but I think I have read on here before that only your son can change that so when you write him, tell him who else to add.  I think he still can do that.  Hopefully some of the veteren moms will see your question and let you know for sure.  If not, post it on the Boot Camp moms group or the 8/17 PIR group.  There are several on there who can definitely answer for you.

If you know that others are going to be able to attend, then write to your SR and let him know who will be attending.  He will finalize the names on the Access List about a week before PIR.  Remember that he can list up to 4 names on the Access List and that those aged 12 and under as well as retired and active duty military personnel with a current military ID do not have to be listed on the Access List to be able to attend and get in at the same time as those who are listed.

Thanks so much for the reply's was worried he wouldn't be able to change.  Even though there is a good chance it will only be myself attending, guess I need to hurry up and find out for sure. :  )

He can add up to three more people but he has to do it so you let him know as soon as you are able to write to him. Tell him the names of those to add and let him know that only he can add them so that he can get to it right away.

The 4 on the list and your daughter with military ID will get in.  Get there EARLY and perhaps the others will get in when extras are allowed in 15-30 minutes ahead of the ceremony.  The August 17 TG is kind of large with at least 13 divisions that we know of, so you should plan on them not getting in and be pleasantly surprised if they do.  The gates open at 6:30 a.m. and there will be a line before then.  The later you arrive, the less likely they will get in.  Remember that the Drill Hall accommodates 16 Divisions and the expected guests, but there have been TG's of 14 divisions where everyone got in and at least one TG of 10 divisions where some did not because people got crazy with the extras because it was an average TG size.

The other thing you can do is see if your SR has a buddy or buddies who will be able to put some of your extras on his/her list.  You need of know the name/s of the other Sailor/s and the division number when you check in.  And the buddy must also pass or you are back to having people wait in the Visitors Center and hoping to get in.
