For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Well then sit just past where THe Big Wigs will besitting. the restroom is just past them. if the restroom is enough. otherwise sit by the end of the hall where you enter and then go back out that same door if needed,. Sorry, I don't know the set up for upstairs. I'm sorry you have to deal with this condition. You can over come it for the day. Do you handle going to movies well? 'cause you can think of it as the length of a movie. If you sit in the areas I mentioned you might not get to see your sailor but you will see the sailor march in.
getting to the hall early will give you a chance to set up yourself so you have enough room. bring an extra sweater or two and set them up next to you so you save space for your comfort. folks will think someone is sitting there. I hope that helps. just relax and breathe. no one is looking at you they are looking at the new sailors. Prayers! You Can do this!

I have anxiety issues as well, and was concerned about PIR. The bathrooms are located in the middle of the hall, so you can try to sit near the middle. They're HUGE so you'll have plenty of pace to calm down in. If you leave the hall, you will not be allowed to re-enter. I was anxious (and prescription meds are very helpful with this!) before PIR but once it started I was on cloud nine and so distracted and excited that my anxiety calmed down. Do you have a smartphone? You could play games on there, or take lots of pictures with your camera. Distract yourself! My anxiety was bad waiting for Battlestations calls and traveling (even though I travel quite a bit), but using these techniques and positive mind control (remember that you are NOT your anxiety) will hopefully help. Hugs and prayers. PIR is beyond amazing and I hope you can go!! :)

there is also another bathroom allll the way at the end of the hall, so you can see which one is closer to your sons div and sit near that one! good luck!

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. Both my mother and my daughter have the same issue. My mom's was so bad she didn't leave the house for 10 years. She used will power to overcome it when my father bought tickets to see the stage production on Annie. From there on out she forced herself to go out and eventually it faded away. There are some good anti anxiety meds available too. Ask your DR. I will send strength your way. You CAN do this!

Good, you have plenty of time to practice positive thinking, and going into public . Get some meds, a therapist and a good friend to help. You'll do it! Both my mom and my daughter overcame it so you can too. :-))
