My son flew out on Monday and we received his "I am here and safe" phone call at 1:15am on Tuesday and his box arrived this morning!  I was shocked that it arrived so quickly.  I am hoping I get the letter with his address as quickly!  The letters to him are stacking up here :).

"The box" takes a few days to arrive since it is sent out at the beginning of P-days. The form letter arrives an average of 10 days (more or less) after arrival since it is sent at the end of regular P-days and should be sent next Tuesday since Monday is a holiday (although it may have gone out today since we are hearing there are 4 regular P-days now instead of 5). (See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones).)

I see you have joined Corpsman Moms; sometime between now and the end of BC you will also want to join HM (Hospital Corpsman) A School in San Antonio (clickable link). The Rating Information Card for HM can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/hm.pdf.

Wow! That was fast. I was starting wait for it.....but, still not here, yet. And, being in Cleveland, Ohio, I'm a lot closer to Great Lakes than you are (you're Fla., right?)

Yes I am in Fla.  My son shipped on the 20th but we did not get his call until 1:15am on the 21st. I was surprised that it showed up so quickly too. Hopefully yours will show up tomorrow :).  Someone has to be home to sign for it.  FedEx won't just leave it.

My daughter left on the 20th as well I got her box on the 24th we live in Washington DC area. Looks like we are a week in lol
Got my letter yesterday. Graduation July 12! Counting down the days :)

Counting Fridays may be easier on you--7 more Fridays and you will proudly be hugging that brand new US Navy Sailor!
