Southwest is a fantastic airline to choose because they do not have any cancellation fees if you need to move around the dates, you can fly with one free checked bag and they fly into Midway and Milwaukee (depending on your preference). We only fly through them because every other airline charges those outrageous change fees- $150 to move dates?! For shame! They also offer military discounts for those who are dependents.

I just called and they're offering $89 each way from Nashville to Midway and they'll honor that price even after the lowest fares sell out. I love how SW doesn't make things overly complicated!! :)

Yes I've also checked for my PIR date and they are offering fares $108 each way from Houston into Midway... Southwest makes life much easier!! lol

To All Boot Camp Mom's~

I am not only a Navy mom but also a qualified travel agent. My son graduates on 03-11-2011. I have found some really good rates through my own resources. I can get a complete package airfare, hotel and car rental for under $950.00 for 2 travelers that from here in Minneapolis so yours might be more or less. Please contact me and I will check to see what deals I can work up for you as well.

I would like to take you up on your offer.  I will be traveling from Las Vegas, NV.  I can leave any time on Thursday the April 7th.  My son's gf will travel with me but she will need to return Saturday am to be in her friend's wedding.  I plan to stay until Sunday afternoon or evening.  I would like to find a room close to the RTC and a car.  Nothing fancy or pricy.  I have spent most of today looking and have only gotten frustrated.  Thank you, in advance.
I don't have a specific recommendation of an airline but I do recommend flying into Milwaukee instead of the Chicago airports.  It is only about 10 miles farther than O'Hare and there is not much traffic.  I wouldn't be surprised if it takes less time to travel to Great Lakes from there.  Also, airport is super easy to get in and out and rental car was a breeze.
Okay guys I know its been said but now I can say from experience FLY SOUTHWEST if you can. A few years ago I went to New York and got sick Continental wanted $300 for me to change flights ( $100 of which was a fee for the "inconvience" of them having to change my flight) well a few weeks ago I went ahead and booked my flight, hotel and everything like I was going to be there all weekend only to find out he's a GRAD N GO!! Well needless to say I was SUPER bummed and decided I'd rather come home once he's gone then stay for 2 days without him there. So I called up Southwest and they said they could change my flight FOR FREE!! Best part?? They honored the price I paid for a Monday mid-day flight so I can fly out Saturday night after he's gone... I ♥ them.. they are just too awesome!!
