Is there anyone else whose son/daughter reported the same day?  Have you gotten your box yet?

My son reported on May 14th and we received "the call" that night. On Friday we were not home to sign for a FedEx package, which we believe was the box. We will find out on Monday.

My son reported the 13th so they will be in the same PIR if I am reading correctly how things work. I did get his box. Now I am waiting for his form letter!

Did you get his box on Thursday or Friday? I was surprised it came so quickly. I, too, am waiting for the form letter...not very patiently!

I got mine on Thursday. It looks like it shipped the 14th (the day after he got there).

My husband reported to RTC on the 15th. I have yet to receive his box, but Dallas mailing system is horrible, even for FedEx. I am very anxious for the form letter! Has anyone else been writing to them already (of course I can't send until I get that letter! arg!) :)

My son's recruiter posted his Ship and Division on the FB account, but we are not sending anything until we get the form letter. After everything I have read...we should wait. His posting said Ship 12 Division 257 I believe.

Your form letter should arrive at the end of this week or early next week--10 days after arrival at the RTC is average. Your SR will be on P-5, or maybe it's 1-1, tomorrow and that is when the letter is mailed for those in a regular division. I've been hearing 4 days in P-days now, but letters are still going out on the 5th weekday for most in a regular division.

lemonelephant,

Thank you for all of your information! Your information has made it easier to deal with all the emotions and uncertainty that we face as parents, spouses and loved ones of SR's. It is greatly appreciated!

You are very welcome and thanks for the kind words.

I put the wrong report date in my subject.  He reported on May 14.  Since my husband and I were traveling until late that day our Navy son called his brother late after he arrived that night.  We will be back at our older son's home on Thurs night late and find out if the Box has arrived and hopefully the form letter.  Then I'll know what TG he is in and when his PIR will be.  I think the first week is the hardest, hopefully.  My husband really wants to talk to our Navy son.

My son reported may 13 I got the box on the 16th. Still waiting for the letter

For those of you with SR's in the 07/12/2013 TG, join the group, PIR 07/12/2013 TG 35 (clickable link), to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR.
