Kris, my son Christian is also in Bremerton WA with Nimitz.  I have seen some wonderful stories of how sailors get involved in the community and the area looks beautiful.  I hope your son will enjoy it there.  So far Christian has enjoyed the winter, lots of good resorts for snowboarding and will look forward to hitting the trails this summer back packing/camping.  The entire crew of Nimitz misses San Diego though, and who can blame them, but they move forward and deal with what is happening here and now.  Hope everyone is well, God bless our sailors, God bless ALL Navy families.

Hello Friends,  well its been a long journey for Steven too but on 05/27 he will be through the Nuke pipeline schooling- its been almost 2 years.  He's been in Charleston, SC & Ballston Spa, NY.  He just got his orders & even though he's been a sub vol the entire time he is assigned to the carrier John C Stennis out of Bremerton, WA.  He is at least glad to finally got out onto the water.  Hope everyone is doing well & your sailors are too!

Hey moms! I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but there's a Navy for Mom's Holiday Project page and I'm sure they would love help in getting holiday goodie bags/stockings to our sailors who will be deployed. USS Truman will be in the gulf this Christmas and we're just going to make sure our sailors have a little Christmas joy sent their way. Please check out the page and help out if you can, the deadline is Nov 1, I know it's short notice, but it's a very very worthy cause. . .

Happy 1 year anniversary to all our sailors....this time last year we were sitting at the N4M receptions, giving Big Daddy Fig his "thank yous" and enjoying each others company! Just waiting until they opened the gates for us to get into PIR. Then sitting through the ceremony so proud then LIBERTY LIBERTY LIBERTY!!!! Wow, like it was yesterday. God bless everyone! Again, Happy anniversary to all!

Wow, hard to believe that this time last year we were all on pins and needles awaiting for Battle Stations 21 and the phone call and PIR! Time flies when we're having fun....and we did have fun! Still having fun! Blessings to all!

Hey everyone! Hope this finds y'all fine! Just thought I would share a picture that Christian sent us a few days ago. Larry the Cable Guy flew to the Nimitz to check things out. Christian was on duty when Larry came by and Christian got to explain his job to Larry. It was a treat I'm sure.

Brandy, congrats to both you and JP and enjoy your time together.
I understand the challenge coins are becoming popular again.
Steven graduates from Power School 09/03, we are flying out for that and then he has to be in NY within 10 days after graduation for his last phase of nuke school which is prototype.
Hard to believe its been almost a year already, glad everyone is doing well and our kids are shing.

Tonight we're having dinner with Christian and will be sending him back to San Diego on Thursday night. It's been a wonderful 2 week visit with him.
