Give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. —Ephesians 5:20 NLT

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.  --John 14:6
The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake.—Psalm 23:1-3

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. —Hebrews 12:2

Invite the Holy Spirit to guide you. When you get focused on your problems or this world redirect your thoughts to God.

But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me. —Zephaniah 3:17

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. —Isaiah 41:10 NKJV

Help me not to let unexpected events throw me off course. Instead of getting upset or anxious, I want to respond calmly and confidently—remembering that You are with me.

You are my lamp, O Lord; the Lord turns my darkness into light. —2 Samuel 22:29

Do not focus on the circumstances that are weighing you down. Instead, through eyes of faith, look ahead to brighter times, and praise God for them.  Worship God in the midst of darkness.

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. —Ephesians 6:16

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. —James 1:12

Whenever you are feeling battered by life's trials, remember the crown of righteousness that is stored up for you.
