I have a penpal on the Lincoln too.  No word from him either.  I thought I saw on the Navy.mil site that the Lincoln was in Hawaii - is that right?

Father, please protect Sherwin and Carol's penpal wherever they are right now. Amen

and so be it.

NYPD--just saw the Bronx report and I am saddened.

Have heard from my Reagan "son" and he is OK.  Still waiting to hear from my Lincoln pen-pal.  Keeping all our families in my prayers.

Father, please be with my son as he works at the big accident site in the Bronx today.  I ask You to keep him safe.  Be with the families who lost loved ones when the bus overturned.  Comfort them Father as only You can.  Thank You for hearing all our prayers, Amen.

Lord, as we watch the news our hearts are heavy and our minds are worried.  We see the upheaval in the world around us and wonder what will happen next.  Let us be reminded that ALL things are under Your control.  All things happen according to Your timing and Your will.  We remember that You have said in Your Word that "even the earth groans for Your redemption and return".  We pray for all peoples affected by these events and we pray for our sons and daughters who are in harm's way whether it be Afghanistan & Iraq, northern Africa, or Japan.  We ask You to watch over them as they are on the seas & land of this world and that You will keep them safe.  We look to You for our strength and peace of mind.  Lord, You are good and we know everything You do is good.  So we look to You for our comfort and strength and we know that You are holding us in the palm of Your right hand.  Thank you for that dear Lord.  We ask all these things in Your Son's precious name, Amen and amen.

We have so many concerns, Oh Lord.  Hear our pleas as we lift up the Japan earthquake victims.  Let us be in haste to help.  Protect our Western States as they feel the affects from the eathquake and all areas from the tsunami. We are your people, Oh Lord, and we lift up our prayers to you, the Almighty.  Amen

I want to ask you to pray for my son & DIL.  She is due to deliver any day, but the doctor says nothing is happening.  Please pray for a safe delivery and that my little granddaughter will be fine.  I have to confess that I am quite concerned about this having been thru a number of stillbirths with overdue babies both when I worked as a nurse and as a pastor's wife.  My DIL is Amanda and my son is Matthew and this is their first child.  Thank you.  Amen
