Cheryl, Allen's Mom....my name is Bugsmom, they call me Bugsy. I have trouble getting online, only have internet at work and they have tons of filters to try to keep me off. My heart goes out to you and your son. It sounds like he is having some heavy duty problems with his marriage, I'm so sorry. Deployment is hard enough on our children, especially hard when they don't have the support of their spouse. My son "Bug", just returned from 7 months in Afghanistan, thank God! Where is your son stationed? What is his job? Mine is a Corpsman and was over there with his Marines. I will be praying for Allen and Fr, Bob Dendinger. God bless.....I am going to attempt to send one of you my email at work, if I go silent again, I will email you.

I thank God everyday for this website & all of you beautiful women here who are so caring & generous. Thank you to you all for offering to send care packages to my Allen. I will PM you all, once you accept me as a friend on your private profiles.

Blondie, I don't know exactly what is going on with Allen & Jessica. I haven't spoken to her lately. Allen has been very down & seems hurting greatly over the situation between them though. Also, he has been working so many hours he is physically exhausted. Twenty-two & one-half hours of straight work the other day/night. I realize he is expected to do his job, & he is a very hard worker, but it probably isn't helping his attitude & mood. Thank you for asking and praying. It looks like it is in God's hands for a miracle. I am praying, but am sure Jessica isn't interested in being a military wife anymore.

Thank you again all of you wonderful ladies!!!

Cheryl, My heart aches for you. I just shipped a package to our son before he deploys again (VERy soon.) But, I can't ship to him when he is underway--somehow helicopters or planes just don't land on submarines. Private maessage me so I can send Allen a card. Then, if he is still deployed for our church's next shipping in Feb or March, I'll add him to our list.

I just want to say how grateful I am for Navy mom's like you Carol. I am not able to send a care package for Christmas to my son, Allen who is stationed overseas until May 2011. I don't have the money to buy the stuff to even make cookies or things for a care package. It is very discouraging for me that I can't do Christmas for any of my family this year, but pray that he will receive a package from another navy mom who understands & can afford it. Even though I'm sure Allen isn't on your mailing list, it makes me so glad for the other troops who will receive your cards & packages. God bless you, Carol & your church. Thank you for your service to our troops.

Jean-- I started a program a year ago called "Treasure our Troops" after working with the Molly's Adopt a Sailor group on this site. I asked to be included in our newsletters and bulletins. What I opened it up to was any active or reserves military. We sent boxes to the active ones serving overseas and cards to all including reserves on home. We included spouses, too.
Then, for two weeks, I made mailing labels and took all the donated Christmas cards people saved for me. I stuck the labels on the cards, and handed out cards to anyone willing to include a letter, picture or note in the card. Today I handed out 200 cards for only 9 service people. So, they will get lots of fun mail soon. The boxes go out tomorrow, and one of my Bible Study groups donated to that.

Praising God! Asked for member names of our church military families. This morning I handed out almost 200 Christmas cards (pre-addressed the envelopes so it would be evenly distributed.) And our Wed. night ladies Bible Study filled up 4 boxes of goodies to send to troopers from our congregation. They even paid for the shipping! God is good.

Praying for all here & all our military. Praying for myself today & tomorrow also. I have to drive to Ann Arbor & my truck is very old & not sure it will make it. Praying for God to guide, protect & see me through there & home. Also praying for my daughter today having to drive to Kalamazoo to pick up her daughter & the weather is suppose to be bad on the west coast of Michigan today. Surround & protect Andrea & Marissa to be safe & make it home safe. Thank you God. Amen
