Eternal God
As we wait upon your word about our missing shipmate from the SA, we pray for comfort for his family, friends and crew. We cannot know the anguish they are going through.

Also, Lord, on my behalf, please know that the earthly body of my mom is ready to leave and join you in the heavenly world you have promised your faithful. I know it is in your time, and not ours, but we have given her our permission to join you. Keep her from pain as she continues her transition to be with you.
All things to your glory and honor
Amen

OUR LIMITED MINDS are not the source of deeper wisdom. We cannot discern what is best by ourselves. Right choices in ambiguous circumstances do not derive from our own hard efforts at reasoning, as important as sound reasoning and conscientious effort may be in opening us to the gift of discernment. The gift itself flows from a Source that far transcends our limited capacities. We may at points meet this Source as a subtle whispering of the Spirit within us. We may come to know it as the Holy Spirit working openly and boldly in our lives. We may encounter it in the risen Christ, present to teach and lead us along the way. None of this, of course, should ease us into simplistic thinking. What it can do, however, is turn us to the One whose will for our lives we seek to know.

May everyone have a blessed moment they did not expect until they came to leave their prayers.

This came in my email today, and thought it was great to share.

AFTER MORE THAN forty years of praying, I still do not understand prayer. I get up many mornings and go to my place of devotion with no sense that my praying makes any difference. This does not mean that I go there reluctantly or discouraged; it simply means I go there realizing that prayer will always be bigger than me and beyond me. I pray realizing that I am not the one in charge. I also find that the older I get, the more content I am to leave some situations in the realm of mystery and wonder.

Eternal God
I praise you for the prayer warriors on this page, who have been keeping so many of Your children uplifted by their faith. My heart exhos all the needs expressed here and my prayers continue to be with all those who have been touching this page and our lives.
Please send word down in my prayers to my Mom and let her know that it is alright to leave her earthly body and to join you in her reward in heaven. Be with our family. And grant me safe travels back home in the snows to be with my husband and be recharged at my church for the weekend.
I believe in you God and all the gifts you have given us in Your Name
Amen

Please pray for me. My degenerative disk disease (lower back) has kicked up and is creating a great deal of pain in my lower back and left leg (sciatic nerve) all the way to my ankle. I went to the chiropractor today and it didn't do much. Will have to go back on Friday. My normal pain medicine of choice (Excedrin) isn't helping much any more. It's getting hard to walk around at all any more.
