The search and rescue was just called off for our missing sailor from the Carl Vinson area.  May God bless this pilot's family and loved ones.

I just got a call from my son.  Not so happy.  His leg is hurting, but will not go to medical.  He's afraid of being set back.  I am praying for him.  That's all I can do.

I am glad to be a part of this group to lift up our sailors in prayer for God's protection and blessing over their lives. I love these Psalms from chapters 62 and 63 where it speaks of finding rest in God alone, He is our refuge and rock and salvation. Through the watches of the night, He is our help, His right hand upholds me. This is my prayer to all our sons and daughters on the Carl Vinson.

Vickie - they are allowed a small bible.  I found the HCSB sailors bible at our Christian book store and hand them engrave his name on it.  It is black with the navy insignia embossed  on the front and soft cover, about 7x5x1.  It worked great for this purpose.  You can also find it at amazon if you want to look for HCSB Sailors bible.  :-)

Thanks so much for the advice. Did you get a small Bible? Did he have room for it? I thought everything had to come back in a box. I'm learning... Thanks everyone!
