OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi Tahoe Kid! Valid point ;)
To catch up - this group, Proud Navy Dads, was dead in the water, no one participating. There were 67 members yet only seven pages of posts, the last entered August 18 2009. We have a dad on Corpsman Moms & Dads who pointed this out, so a few of us came over a day ago to help resuscitate and get more dads to join in! (Skip back to page 10 or so to see the new beginning.)

Most of us here (99.99%) don't use the chat feature, we prefer this mode - easy to catch up by going back a few pages; also use features to easily drop in photos and links.

So welcome! Where is your sailor and what does he/she do?
